Other cartomizers for Echo-T Battery

Hey guys, I got a 1300mAh manual Echo-E kit from cropduster a while ago, and it's been working really great. I decided to give some other cartos a try and got a few eGo Mega Dual coils (both the clear and the black ones). The battery connector and the threads on those looks more or less identical to the Echo-E cartos, and they seem to fit fine; however, I can't seem to get them to do anything for the life of me. Any advise? What are some other cartos for a newbie to try?

What happens when you use the ego MDCC? Do you not get anything at all. That's a problem somtimes with the EMDCC. If you put a tiny screwdriver in the end of the carto and move it down very slightly you can get the carto and battery to make a connection.

Yeah, that's basically it: Nothing at all. I can't believe I didn't think to try the screwdriver trick though: I had some 808 cartos that needed that sometimes. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

It happens with them. Once you pull it down slightly, they should be OK. I have to do that sometimes with the echo-e cartos. Yea, my Mom's KR808 cartos did too sometimes. They must get pushed in.

The EMDCC are better the longer you vape on them.

Aww, no-go, it seems. The part that can be nudged out is definitely touching something because it'd seems to go back to its (somewhat) original location after I remove it from the battery.

I am starting to wonder if it's some sort of an electrical thing... I noticed that the LED on the switch usually fades out when I let the button go, both with the Echo-T carto or with no carto. If there's a short, the LED would blink. With the EMDCC though, the LED would stay solid for a second or two then shuts off. May be I should dig out the o' multimeter and dissect one of the MDCCs ;-)

Some Ego-alikes need a short 510 extender to use the Joye-made cartos and some other things that are closely designed to fit Joye Ego. Madvapes has the extenders with their adapters.

Is it similar to the 501 to eGo adapter from Liberty Flights? I tried that too but no love there :-/

You could try to very carefully do the same thing to the battery. Just be really careful though, too much and it could damage the battery.

The extender that Dormouse mentioned is probably your best bet.

Don't forget to try to barely 'lift' both the carto AND batt center conductors!

It might be worth it to get the adaptor. I don't have echo-e batteries so I don't know if that's an issue or not. I just purchase the echo-e cartos for my ego batteries and like them. Definitely try the cartos from CCV sometime. They're great.
So are the dual coil cartos I gave you the link for at Deej site. They're clear and very easy to clean, which is a plus. The downside of the clear cartos is you have to be a bit more careful with them.

I ended up taking the lazy route and picked up an eGo 650mAh USB battery instead. The EMDCC "just worked", and... Man... these cartos are *awesome*

You're probably better off doing that. You can never have too many batteries.
