Hi everyone

im new here in ecf.. ive been vaping for around 5 months now going on six and never used an analog since then thanks to vaping...

heres my question... I puchased an i atty a couple of days ago and made a 1.5 ohm atty which vapes well with all my 3.7 set up .. i tried it even with 6 and it vapes like a monster. while using it on the the third day i opened the tank and saw my wick burnt and gunk all over the resistance wire... is this normal ? do i have other options on what material to use as i dont have to change my wick and resistance wire every three days for that matter... i opened it because flavor at this time is burnt and sometimes taste like plastic.. anybody have the same experience?

TIA..

watching the iatty threads, one of the GG gang said that running 1.5 Ohm at 3.7 is great... but the burnt taste goes away only if you do some very short bursts of 6 volts...
his logic: 3.7 is not hot enough to burn off the gunk...
try it...
can't remember which thread but it might be the big "iatty" thread; towards the end.

Progenitus,

You are asking too much out of that wick. You are basically vaping at 29 to 30 watts with an amp discharge at about 4.4 amps. Way too much !!!! Especially if you are not using high drain batteries. I would, strongly, recommend that you stay in the range recommended by the other posters for 6volt vaping. Atties ranging from 2.8 to 4.0 ohms are sweet spot for high voltage vaping. See if you can get your resistance wires to get at least a 2.8ohm on the Iatty. If you do, homerun :)

I made the 1.5 resistance iatty to be used specifically for 3.7 set up.. My maptank has a 2.4 ohm ce2 in it and my arry tank has a 3.6 ohm ce2.. I was just curious of the you tube video of imeo running his 1.5 iatty at 6 volts without frying it, reason why I tried it out... I usually fry my 510 and 306 lr at a fully charged aw imr batts.

Hey, WELCOME TO THE ECF

Now, a 1.5 atty or even a 2-2.5 ohm atty should not be used at 6V. Since it's way to hot and might even fry your atty. Probably explains the coil and wick. Not sure where to get the materials you would need but hopefully somebody will.

Funny thing is yes my provari shuts down when it reaches 4 volts which is normal right..i
saw imeo using his 1.5 atty at six volts thats why tried it...and it worked my atty didnt fry at all... weird right?

Im from the philippines and theres a shortage in the materials...hopefully someone might help me out.

@nic no worries buddy.. Im almost out of wires and wick thats why im looking for alternatives if any...

Thanks guys..

This makes sense... That explains why the burnt taste is not there when I returned to 3.7 volts... Thanks man..
