Outages?

For the past few weeks I've noticed there have been many outages usually for a short duration. However, a few times I've received 400 errors - but can access the forum by 3G on my phone - but not on wifi or my laptop. Totally confused and makes me wonder if there have been "rolling blackouts" .... To ease server issues? Is that even possible?

I have no idea, but earlier tonight I could'nt get on for a while, kept getting a server is having issues screen. That's not exactly what it said, but something to that effect.

I understand the server goes down - "growing pains" - but if the server was just "down" I wouldn't have been able to post with 3G. It's back up right now.

Generally that would indicate an issue with your router or modem, possibly even your Internet provider. When was the last time you did a reset on your modem and router (powered both off for a couple of minutes and turned them back on)?

Yesterday morning the site was down for me also. I kept getting a 503 no server can be found error. The app didn't work on my phone either.
Definitely was not my modem/router as all other sites I frequent worked fine, as well as my other internet connected devices.

I was freaking out a bit as I couldn't get my ECF fix

Yesterday's outage was a hardware issue. The individual I was responding to described a completely different set of circumstances.

Every time she can't log on she does all that. Roku was streaming a movie - we were able to connect to other sites and Facebook - I've called cable company before to complain and they ran diagnostics (actually turned out I hadn't been getting the speed I was paying for ) This was the only site we couldn't connect to. I even got email notifications of pm's. it's really weird

Are you using the provider's DNS entries? Might want to use Google DNS and see if the issue resolves itself.

Well my provider's settings haven't changed and this is the only site that does it. And this is a NEW development. It's happening quite a bit over the course of 24 hours.

It's becoming less frequent but still happening.....was there a software update? Perhaps the software is flagging our IP address - and it's taking awhile for the "it's ok, they're 2 people" to kick in..... idk....it's frustrating.
