Using two different batteries (PR118 kind, from PremiumEStore, if that makes a difference). One is a lot older than the other, but they have the same issue now, and I'm not sure if it's something I did that messed them up due to the difference in how long they've lasted. Most of the time, after about a second or two when taking hit from it, the LED light will blink and it'll just stop outputting. I don't know if this means the battery is dying...but the old one worked great for a long time before it started doing this, but the newer one started doing it a lot sooner. Is there anything wrong with them specifically, or are they just dying from too much use?

Have tried a few different brands now for the carts, finally figured out the issue. It has a cutoff time on the battery, which is supposed to be longer, but I found getting a new one without a cutoff on it fixed this. Weird.
