DSE901 battery died

Two brand new batteries from TW, and one of them has died already. Just wondering if there was anything I could try before sending it back. These are the only batts I have for my 901 and I can't stand my super mini's after trying this one, so I'm kind of in a position. Not good for my first day off analogs!

Here's what happened:

The battery was puffing away fine. Although it still had plenty of power left, I went to put it in the charger for a topoff and the LED didn't blink as usual, which I thought was odd. It would not charge. Sure enough, it no longer worked in the cig either.

Getting about 950 ohms between the battery terminals, about the same as the good battery. At least I know there is not a short or a broken wire near the connection.

Anything at all I can try? This happened to anyone else? Any chance of it magically starting to work after sitting for a while?

You try cleaning it out? Perhaps its just juice in there.

Well, I'm currently looking around here for something suitably sized. (And not having much luck I might add!)

Edit: Made a little "wick" out of some tissue. It went in there maybe 1cm max, and came out dry as a bone and clean. No dice.

Maybe the switch got stuck. Try gently blowing thru the battery from both the LED and atomizer side. I've unstuck switches like that before.

Sounds like a switch issue like the previous poster said. People have reported having success by blowing in them and also banging it on a hard surface.

Well, problem solved. After just sitting on the table for several days it just started working by itself. No amount of pounding helped anything back on Sunday when it died.

It couldn't have been a switch issue because a switch stuck in the normal 'off' position would still allow the battery to charge; this one would not even activate the charger. And it wasn't stuck 'on' because I'd sure notice that LED.

Oh well, just glad it's working again.

what position did u have the battery when it was sitting on the table....may help others with the same or similar issue

Just horizontal, basically just tossed on the table. I would have stood it up on end if I thought there was liquid in there, but based on other sources I just figured it was completely dead. Never dripped in this one, and only a few hours of use logged on this batt. So no clue! Just very lucky.

you can kill a battery by fitting it in the charger whilst the charger is switched on ..i know ive done it..it shorts and blows the circuit board.

Always put the battery in the charger THEN turn it on.

even thou its working again id still ask for a replacement from Jason.
