I got this as an interim unit after quitting analogs (AGAIN), before my better mod comes in the mail.
Price: I paid 54.99 for it at a brick-and-mortar vapor lounge (yes, I'm a lucky guy to have one close to where I live), and it came with 2 protected 18350 Batts and a charger. I've been told that unprotected batts will NOT allow it to fire- FYI. For a 3-way adjustable box mod, not too shabby!
Build quality/ Design: I will say that the weakest point in this Box is in the durability/workmanship- even the shop owners kept mentioning how they need to be fiddled with/messed with, etc. in order to work properly over time. Also, the unit has to be modded to accept tank systems (which they did for me at the shop I was at). The Battery connection tends to come loose occasionally, but is not a permanent problem. All of these problems are really kind of minor- If the thing actually quits, it is a simple unit to repair if you have some background knowledge in circuits and electricity.
Ease of use: The unit is only really friendly for right-handers, so I have some issues with that sometimes-but it's easy to get used to. Once you know the start procedure, it's remarkably simple: 5 clicks on, 5 clicks to 5v, 5 clicks to 6v, and then 5 clicks off. There's a different LED for each of the 3 voltage settings, an led on the power switch, and an LED to let you know the atomizer is firing (if you hold down the power switch w/o taking a drag, it won't fire- good for keeping pockets cool
). This plethora of LED's also will alert you to any problems occuring, in the case of a malfunction.
I wish it was more adjustable between voltages- but for an interim unit before I get my vari-tube, it is a fairly solid, simple mod. All in all, great value for the money, ESPECIALLY if you get to test and MOD it before you take the thing home. After 3 years of vaping, I just couldn't bring myself to go back to using non-APV's again...
