I ordered the kit and to my disappointment the charger could not fit 2 batteries at the same time. The manufacturer obviously did not do any qc with the charger because it's too narrow to have both batteries fit side by side to charge at the same time. Contacted Eric and he had same issue.

I was offered a full refund but instead opted to buy a different charger from him at a nice discount. Not Eric's fault and he was very helpful in getting this problem resolved. Just be aware though if you buy this kit you will have to buy another charger.

As for the product itself it's just ok to me. Honestly you get what you pay for so you can't expect it to be at the same level of a provari. However it does it's job fine. It just has a cheap feel to it, and also the battery compartment door is a real PITA to open and close. I had to loosen the hinge to get it to open and close without breaking my fingers. This kind of stuff just tells me this is not a top quality product.

But all in all Eric has been great to deal with and I plan on doing more business with him going forward

The problem is the charger is a 16340 charger, (16340 bats are slightly smaller) both bats will fit in it with a rubber band wrapped around it, a bit ghetto yes but it works. All in all being roughly $170 cheaper than the Provari the deal is pretty good. A set of AW batteries to go with that new charger wouldn't be a bad idea either they outlast the kit batteries by a good 3-4 hours. The trick to the battery door is thumb placement, holding the back of the unit facing you with the bottom away, place one thumb over the other on the arrow tread of the door, press down and away it pops right open. I initially though I was going to break the unit opening the battery door until I did the golf club thumb placement move.

Already tried the rubber band trick and doesn't work. It holds them both in but only one battery charges at a time. This has been tried and confirmed. It's because the space is too tight for both connections to make contact at same time. The indicator light will show charging because it shows it when at east one battery is charging. Doesn't matters whether it's one or both. Same light.

I also used a hot knife and dremel to enlarge the battery bay, but it still needed the rubber band to hold them in place and keep contact to both batteries consistent. That of course voided my warranty but my xtar mp 2 charger was already on it's way. The kit charger is now my spare should the other ever tank or I lose it somehow.
