I am having some trouble with refilling my carts, somehow I continue to overfill and I am not figuring out why. I recently did the boil trick and it helped... but still not holding as much juice afterwards as people seem to say it should.

Basicly, prefilled carts cleaned with water and recently boiled. All the reviews and tips I have seen on youtube says it should hold up towards 18 drops of liquid. I use 24mg and 20%vg currently got some 10% vg coming in soon incase it is just a thickness of the liquid issue.

I place 4 drops in a NSEW pattern, use the condom and plug technique to shake it down and place another 4 drops. This will fill it up and anything more will cause it to get into my mouth even after 5 hours of sitting or more. With that amount of liquid i can vape for a few hours before the flavor starts to go away but the vapor cloud is still strong.

So my question being... is it the liquid that I am using (tastyvapor.us), are there larger cartomizers I should get? Or am I actually filling wrong?

BTW thank you all at this forum, over 2 weeks now and past the cravings for analogs... I just want to vape my tasty German Choco cake :)

I have experienced the same problem. Ive been refilling mine and I am convinced that there is no way it can hold as many drops as everyone says it can hold. Mine holds about the same amount as yours. I wonder if you get empty cartomizers instead of prefilled will it make a difference?Hows the german chocolate cake flavor btw?

also I forgot to mention... if you put your cart into something you can spin with the plugs inserted, it will help distribute the liquid and after that I use a paperclip to insert gently into the battery side of the cart through to the other side and spin my cart around it and that helps remove the liquid form the middle and also line up the holes. I can make a video if you want.

I have a bunch of empty's on order as well so we will find out. As far as the German Choco Cake... I am not a sweets kinda person but that is one of my few cravings. It fills it wonderfully, but the flavor does seem to go away before the vapor does... then I just get a before taste. A hint of GCC then it fades quickly.

Actually yes I would like to see a video of that... as I am not sure what you mean. and TY

I have recently started using cartos. The first few I filled, I actually got between 30 - 40 drops. I loved it. The new ones (all pre-filled) seem to take a lot less. The first ones I bought, I got from Healthcabin and were pre-filled, also. The latest were from a variety of vendors. I'm not even sure which vendors because I got them in trade. When I need to put in another order, I think I will probably try Healthcabin again.

I have no problem refilling my cartomizers. I just give them a quick "thermometer shake" every half-dozen drops or so. I haven't been counting, but I'd say I get at least 20 (probably more like 30) drops into an empty cart.

After you sure you're blowing them out and allowing them to dry completely after you wash/soak them? If the filling is still wet, that water is taking up most of the space that the juice should be filling.

I've been considering making a "cart drier" with an aquarium/other small air pump which I can screw a bunch of cartos into hand have them blown dry in a short time instead of waiting overnight. Another option is to flush the cart with the strongest alcohol you can get your hands on and blow it out. The alcohol will mix with the water in the cart and make it evaporate much faster than the water would by itself.

When you say alcohol, can you be more specific? I can see this as a viable alternative if you're talking about Pure Grain Alcohol (PGA) or Vodka perhaps. Rubbing alcohol I think would be a potentially dangerous proposition.

Yes, pure grain alcohol good, isopropyl NO good...

I was having the same difficulties with the "am I overfilling with only 10 drops" question.. Then I read about people "overvaping their cartos", which was causing the polyfill to melt.. Less polyfill means less ability to soak up and hold the juice.. Took a cart apart and identified that I was indeed "overvaping"..

Started waiting 10 seconds between drags (allows juice to wick back into the center wick) and topping off routinely (switching between two carts and topping off on my lunch hour) and the issue is mostly resolved (though alot of the convenience of the carto has been lost in this process)..

Good luck

I would be suprised if I was over vaping. A normal auto battery lasts me between 8-10 hours and I can usually use 1 cartomizer during that time so they last longer then I have seen others suggest. The main problem and it may be key to what is going on... is the flavor tends to go away in about half the time that the vapor itself stays normal. I am just not sure what that means.

When the flavor starts to go away, you should add liquid. Otherwise, you may burn the filler, which can potentially be harmful to inhale.

I think that is an excellent idea to make a video of what you are talking about. I do that all the time, but I haven't seen anyone talk about it or do a video of getting the liquid out of the middle.

See still new to vaping. I thought the vapor itself was more of the liquid. The flavor goes away with all my liquids in the kr808d-1 cart fairly soon, around 4 hours for my normal. Not all the flavor of course but the strong hit of it. So that is when I should refil not when I start seeing a decrease in vapor?

Hell... maybe I have been burning things up. I do notice that when the taste starts to fade the TH gets heavier, or at least the "heat" of it

It depends on the cart your using. There are several sellers of kr808 carts. I can easily get 30 plus drops in a blank (new) vapornine cart for the kr808. Other places I have gotten them, I have gotten as little as 19 in them. After they have been filled once you wont get quite as much in them the next time.

As for As for washing them, even after 3 days mine still had water in the bottom of them even though I blew them out .I found this out by using a syringe and extracting water from them,

I use only cheap strong vodka to clean mine now and syringe them out before letting them dry. If they dont dry completely I am not worried now. They seem to work fine.

If you washed your carts and they are not filling properly you probably had water left in them that you could not see on the bottom of the cart.

I need 15 posts to post links

ok problem fixed link to video
Hope it helps! whenever my cart is gurgling, I do this and it fixes it. It lines up the inside and also removes excess liquid from the inner wick. Do not force it through though, just wiggle it around until you feel it gently falling into place.

Srewed it on and vaped great most of the day, I used the syringe fill method first, then the condom fill method, couldn't flood them. Just a a little sizzlin sound !!!
