I'm not sure to be honest definitely worth looking into though I've never once heard of a glycerin overdose. I can speculate that it may refer to the raw, product itself though why anyone would ingest or over apply topically and absorb it? is beyond me that's for sure. I'm going to search this out and I'll post my findings.

I have some Humco Glycerin. I think it's water soluble. Anyways it's the same ingredient that is used in fog machines, and in ejuice. So unless your drinking the stuff there should be no worries. There may be some ppl who are allergic to it. If they put it on their skin some rash or break-out on the skin could happen. Or if they even inhale it, like in the front row of a concert...in front of a fog machine, or if they use it in ejuice, their lungs may not agree. I think this kind of allergy is rare....But I could be wrong since I'm not allergic. You can find more info by doing a search on 'glycerin allergies.'

Gosh, the only thing I can come up with is if way overdosed as a laxative, it could cause severe abdominal pain, and may cause complications from bleeding and so on, but heck who'd want to? Otherwise it may be used as a vehicle for other medicine delivery, and an overdose of that may be cause for alarm.

Unless your allergic to it, from what I've read, you would need a LOT to ingest in order to do 'overdose' on it.

By ingest, I mean, to be more than your body could handle within a 4 hour period, but I am pretty sure that you would probably expel most of it prior to, unless your a person at a frat party, on a kegger, with nothing better to do than to sit on a toilet and complain about how much it hurts from abdominal cramping.

Other than that, I really wouldn't worry about it. You would need a LOT of it to be around you. So basically, if you are allergic to it, you would know by now (because it's in, well, just about everything).

call the poison center and ask about it. i find info about suppositories and it isnt likely to cause oeverdose. Vegetable Glycerin Dangers | eHow has info about ingestion. read about inhalation in another place but cant find it, shoulndt be any problems at the doses we use it. it was some crazy number before any affects were shown in studies of mice.
