Welcome!

The iStick 50w has built-in batteries. When the batteries die, the mod is a paperweight.
well that answered my question....
if the built ins arent keeping a charge after being charged fully... its time to get an IPV4 and 4 VTC4's and a decent charger :)

They are built it, but replaceable. It's not a task I would suggest undertaking though. As a friendly suggestion I would recommend something like a KBOX Mini starter kit. You can simply buy replacement 18650 batteries and have them charged and ready to go. It has a magnetic door and it's extremely easy to pop in a fresh battery to keep vaping. Pricing ranges from 54-85 depending on where you shop. I know this does not necessarily fix your problem, but it offers a nice replacement with minimal hassle.

Actually the suggestion is appreciated! In case I decide to go with something different. Thanks.

not too up on Istick 50s but does it have the batteries that can be removed to charge or is it the type with the built in battery?
what are you using to charge the battery? how old is the Istick 50? and finally... what ohm coil set are you using?

low ohm coils tend to run batteries down faster...
Thank you. I'm using a .5 coil. I keep it at 30w. I use the charger it came with. Every time I've changed the coil and at other seemingly random times its acted up. It's hard to get used to when pulling on it feels different and there's a different amount of vape being produced often.
I wonder if I'm using too much.

If ya didn't live so far away I'd rebuild it for ya ^___^ Not something someone who isn't a tech should do though lols.

Lithium batteries depending on chemical makeup can only cycle from 400-700 times comfortably.
Heh thanks! There is no way I would probably ever try to build or rebuild anything. But, who knows what the future holds. Lol.
