Hi Guys,

I’m new to the digital age of smoking. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about this site and did research after I placed my first order for my first started kit. I bought the njoy- NPRO starter kit to start getting off the analogs. I did watch Spikey’s intro to e-smoking video, and still have a few questions. I have tried to do some reading and find still find some things very confusing.

  • Did I make a big mistake by ordering njoy?
  • The kit comes with 5 mixed carts- now are these carts refillable with the e-juice? Or do you by empty carts and refill them? Can I refill for NJOY?
  • What model would my Njoy NPRO translate to? My guess is Mini or 901?
  • I want to buy another brand of vapes- I know this is debatable but could someone suggest a good reliable brand for me to look into? There are so many models and brands I find this part very overwhelming- Which companies are easiest to get replacement parts for- that is going to be a big selling point for me.
  • Any other suggestions for companies that sell good tasting juice? Johnson Creek is the only one that I know of.
As far as refilling my own carts with the juice is the way I think I want to go- I looked briefly at the Johnson Creek site- and was wondering if you buy the empty carts and fill them that way- or do I take the 5 carts that come with my njoy npro kit and buy the liquid to refill those?

I will have my NJOY kit tomorrow- and I’m so excited- I wish I would have done my research first but hey you gotta start somewhere. I appreciate any help you guys can give me- and thanks for hanging in there with me the noob- the anticipation is killing me!!!

PS: Do I have to have a certain amount of post before I can post in the General Forum?

Thanks!

It's a good bet you'll want something better soon, but some will disagree.
In the end it just depends on your preferences.

The kit comes with 5 mixed carts- now are these carts refillable with the e-juice? Or do you by empty carts and refill them? Can I refill for NJOY?
All cartridges are refillable, but they start to deteriorate after a certain number of refills.

It is an RN4081 and goes by many different names depending on who is selling it.

I want to buy another brand of vapes- I know this is debatable but could someone suggest a good reliable brand for me to look into?
I went from a NPro to a 510 with manual battery, and am extremely happy.

You can refill the ones that came with, but you'll need new blank ones sooner or later.

And you can also buy your own filler and restuff them youself, which I haven't tried yet but soon will.
Although I am really thinking I'd rather just buy a ton of blanks in bulk, once I find out where to do that.

Any Other suggestions on Vape Companies?
First you need to figure out what model you want.
The more time you spend reading this forum first the better the odds you'll be happy with what you get.

Once you figure out what model you want it is easy to find a company to go with.

Youngunner - get your feet wet with your NJoy - it's a good model - a bit overpriced, but you do get the warranty - there's your trade off.

Keep in mind that the pre-filled carts are NOT a pack of cigs worth of juice (no matter what anyone tells you!!!) and are not as good as buying the ejuice and refilling yourself. If you want a sample pak - JC is one that offers them - there is another juice vendor who offers samples, but I can't remember which one.....someone will come along and rectify that shortly, I'm certain :)

Before you jump into buying more gear, take a couple of days to start to experience vaping with your NJoy - you'll be amazed at the amount of information on the forum will start to click as soon as you have your gear in your hands, and you will start to get an idea of what you really want.....at this point, suggestions or recommendations would be conjecture only.

Enjoy your journey into vaping, and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the world of vaping... the NJoy is a good unit, I bought one a long time ago and really enjoyed it for a while, then DH lost it, alas...

I have several other units now and some more on the way, so don't judge your needs by mine, as mine seem to have become more about HAVING than USING.. lol

As for juice samples, the JC is good and one other that has excellent juice and FAST service is NHaler.com. He has samplers also, and sends goodies with every order, great guy, Drew !

In the last nearly a year, I have tried several different units and each has its own benefits and drawbacks, so it's a matter of what is right for your own style. That's exactly what makes the suggestion process so difficult... but reviews will help and read read read.. so much good info here, a lot to absorb

Just as those clothing tags that say "one size fits all" are really NOT, so the same is true for any ecig model. Could be that's why there are so many different ones.

For the most part, the best advice is give your unit a chance, get some juice samples, give it a little time, do some research and in a short while you will get a better idea of what will fit you personally.

For myself, I have people ask me all the time if the ecigs give me the same satisfaction as analogs, well the answer is an explicit "NO!", they give me much much MORE !

I hope you find vaping to your liking and that the forums continue to give you a varied span of information which you can peruse and make the best decision for YOU !

Have a good one !

I'M RIGHT HERE
not me, when i first started vaping a month ago. i found this forum first then i read a bunch of posts. then i scrolled down the home page to the suppliers section. so 2 hours reading forum & 2 hours comparing suppliers web-sites. i finally decided on the 901, i then found the best price for a kit with extras, located in the United States. had the stuff in 2 days and the journey began. of course i ordered about 100 ml of juice 24 mg also , half was menthol cause i was menthol smoker. since that first order i have made 1 other purchase, 100 ml of 36mg and 2 extra batterys, from china. was a good price, i wanted to try 36, needed extra batt's, and i wanted to see how dealing with china supplier would be, it was fine.
so now over a month into vaping, i am ready to move on. my order is in for a mod, so you know a mod is short for modified vaping device, there are a few people making these, you will learn as you go. the newest one is the Prodigy. that is what i am getting.
so my advice to you is vape what you have, see how you like it, experiment with some juices see whats best for you, try different suppliers,
when you next purchase another e-cig, see if there are mods for for the one you already own, if not by then you will know what you are doing , what you want, and it will be a great day.

www.myfreedomsmokes.com is another place that carry's sample packs and many options .........high cartridges are 18mg don't get carried away with the stronger stuff unless you are comfortable cutting it down and mixing it , but sampler's is the way to start. I wish I would have started that way

I'd get some juice and get comfortable with your current cig and then decide what features are most important to you. I.E. size, batt life, manual or auto, flavor or throat hit

Thank You all for the great information. I will finally be getting my kit tomorrow morning, I will post after I try it out. I can't wait.

I do have a question about the carts. I am going to purchase some empty carts to refill for my kit. Do I need to purchase any special kind of carts for the NJOY NPRO? I saw some on Johnson Creek- will those work or any empty carts for that matter, or do i need to order model specific empty cartriges for my set-up?

Also, anyone heard anything about a company called white cloud? They are for sale in the local mall- I was curious if anyone had any experience with them. I couldn't find any information about them.

Thanks for helping a noob out!!

You need to purchase cartridges for the RN4081 model, which is what the NPro is.
And it goes by many different names depending on the manufacturer/seller.

Somewhere around here you can find all the names it goes by.
But a Google search for RN4081 is a good way to go as well.

Edit: I would suggest the double cartridges, which can be found at Digital Smoke Shop.
Edit: They go by the name Super-Mini on that website.

Thanks Deadcat. I really appreciate all the info you gave me. I’m seeing that I need to place an order for some replacement carts and juice quick. I don't think the 5 carts that comes with the kit will last very long.

About the atomizer- I read somewhere on the forum that I can buy a different brand for the NPRO- on NJOYS site they are out of stock. So if I search RN4081 all the parts are interchangeable no matter what the brand is, correct? So I don't need to buy spare parts from NJOY.

THANKS!!!!!!!!

Parts are interchangeable with the 4081. I started with the NPRO, just order some juice in the states so you have it in a few days. Try some 3ML sample bottles. I think Nuvape has free shipping through July, and 3ML bottles for $1.99. You can refill your original carts for awhile, and if you get in a pinch, they sell them at truck stops. You can buy blanks cheaper, and you should have an extra atomizer on hand.

I just got my Kit. I opened up the cart box and there was only 4? WTF? I called them up and the said they would mail out another one today.

Also, I plugged in the battery to the charger and it has been charging for 20 min. and the light is already green? It says in the booklet that it will take 3 hours to charge? Im going to still leave it on there but i thought that was kinda wierd. Also it says that the light blinks 10 times to let oyu know that it is pluged into the charger correctly- it only blinked like 5 times- I hope these arn't defective.

We'll see. I'll post again when i take my first vape hit. Thank You ALL!!!
