For anyone that has not seen this, here it is. the Mark T sitting on a P10 with a shorty tip!!! Wow, just wow. It works flawlessly!! The only trouble is I cant get it to work on my P18. My P10 is newer but Im not sure how old the p18 is. The problem is that the atty connecter and the P18's top connector dont meet when fully threaded down. I put a small, dry drip of solder(less than 1/16th of an inch thick) in between them and got it to fire, but without it...nothing. Are there differences in the specs of old and new P18 models that would cause this? Any way to adjust the P18 post? If anyone knows anything please chime in. Anyway, until then enjoy the pic! photo.jpg

No way would I play with solder on a P-18 - just send the top back to David to have the threads re-tapped to accept the Mark T. While your at it, if there are any scratches or marks on the P-18 - send the whole unit back for a re-polishing.
The Mark T looks great on the P-10 by the way. Its beautiful.

Re-tapping the threads on the p18 wouldn't help, I don't think so anyway. The base of the Mark T " bottoms out" before the contacts meet. I think the contact post needs to move or be a little longer. Its just strange that the p10 works and the p18 does not, ya know? Guess I'm hoping that David will chime in with suggestions (hint, bold hint, hint) at this point. Thanks for the compliments on the p10, btw!

I think the spec of the Precise threads did change ever so slightly and we tried to accomodate this on the Mark-T but unfortunately, we couldn't make it fit absolutely everything. I am sure David would be about to sort it out for you, or get one of those board spacer thingies Vapn suggested. :)
It does look absolutely awesome on the P10 doesn't it?

Looks great Knucks!

On the center posts They are supposed to be the same height, but clearly are not for you. I could repress the center post in for you to solve your problem if you'd like.

Vapn, thanks for the suggestion. Looks like that's my best bet since idk if I can live without my p18 for the amount of time it takes to send it in. Thanks for the response David. I guess a this point, I'll just get the spacer that vapn suggested and wait for the p18 upgrades(rhodium stuff). David, any idea of an ETA on upgrades for the original precise line?
