I can do that with my P3 Kabukis (using a post it note, because too poor) on a P3 or a 2.5 with a P3 connector, but can't when I screw a P3 nautilus on there. It isn't a gap I can really see unless I hold the mod up to a light source, like my monitor.
Therein lies the problem...

You should send that defective P3 Nautilus to me for proper disposal ;)
But But But, The same happens with my Kabuki also...

Well, OK, I guess they'll both fit in the box?!?

But, what I would really like to know is. What does the gap do to airflow control?

Thanks, Jim

I don't think the gap will have much effect if any at all, the air would have to go through the mated thread surfaces...

I do find a difference between two Provi, one with gap, and one without.

Having thought about this for sometime. I think that I would merely have to decrease/tighten the airflow on a gapped mod.

But, there is a difference, albeit very slight.

Jim

PS It can be tested simply by holding your finger over the air intake hole of the Kabuki.

That's interesting, is the vape different?

Can you find an O-ring that might give it a seal?

I did try an oring from a Kayfun...

It worked, sort of, if overtightened it deformed. No longer O in shape.

I was thinking that a paper gasket may work, but haven't tried that yet.

I use a circle cutter to make paper and plastic disks all the time.

Thanks E,

I appreciate being able to bounce this thing around with you.

The paper or plastic gasket would work for both the air gap and the air intake differences from Provi to Provi.

This is my only Kabuki, so I cannot compare it to a second unit.

I think the difference is in the P3 threads on the mod.

Adjusting the air intake flow screw did make the Kabuki perform equally on different mods.

I now consider this puzzlement solved. Thanks again!!!

Jim
