I'm new to DIY juice and I have no idea what I'm doing. With that said...

When I want to sweeten a flavor such as watermelon to get more of a candy flavor, or when a recipe calls for "sweetener" I'm lost on what to use.

I don't want to make my own and that's all I seem to find when I search the threads. Drops are easier for me. So what's the difference between PA's cotton candy and their sweetener? If I'm doing 20% flavoring how much would I add to a fruit flavor on average? Is one much sweeter than the other taking much less drops per ml to sweeten?

Thanks for any clarity you can give me! Sorry if it's been asked a thousand times :(

Hello Dawn!
PA Cotton Candy is Ethyl Maltol already mixed for you in PG. I use it to sweeten and smooth out my juices. Sweetner is Sulcrose ready to use.
I find the sweetner is sweeter, but taste is subjective. I personally use Cotton Candy in almost all my juices. I would add a drop to a 10ml mix and taste. If you need more add another drop and taste, repeat until you get to what you want :)

I've found the some flavors actually got better with different sweetener as well. For me (and taste is subjective) Ethyl Maltol leaves a flavor in some of the more subtle flavors that I do not care for, while Sucralose (basically Splenda without the binder) does not.

Either one, makes sure you go easy on it, very easy to over sweeten liquid.
