For me, I was shocked how fast I was able to cut down on cigs.

Went from;
Day 1 40 cigs (no vape equipment )
Day 2 5 cigs (vape mail day!)
Day 3 2 cigs
Day 4 2 cigs
Day 5 1 cig
Day 6 1 cig
Day 7 to present 0 cigs

I did NOT plan or anticipate on being able to cut down on analogs (cigs) as fast as I did.

Even if you smoke a few cigs a day for the next week or month, do NOT feel like your a failure. Your a winner already by the amount of cigs you've reduced in this short of time.

Best of luck, and there is a great group of people here willing to help out without judgment.

Wishing you all the best!!!!!!!!

I was lucky and dropped my 45yr habit on day one....
I will not claim it was easy. In fact it was anything but! However this was a health issue that had to be addressed and fast by my concerns so I committed. After about 2 weeks I had moved to Ego's/Clearos and my choices in e-liquids(hardest choices). From there it has been pretty smooth sailing.

One trick is convincing yourself, when the urge hits, it is the nic you want/need - not a Cig.:)

good for you , just pass the first month and you'll be converted from a smoker to a vaper .

Vape as much as you want , the second you start feeling in need for stinkies take out your ecig and start vaping .
oh and now that you see that it actually works for you , make sure you got enough stuff to last for a month , you don't want to get stuck without any juice or atomizers on the first month .

another suggestion : do not buy large quantity of liquid that you have not tried yet , check some references on some good liquid and buy only samples at this stage , when you find few flavors you like only then buy them in large bottles....

Yeah i know sample packs usually costs more but getting stuck with 150-200ML that you hate is even worse , I vape them on emergencies when i don't have the liquids i like but doubt that I'll vape all of the juice i don't care for.

Very good suggestion. Personally I would recommend sticking with small bottles for the first month. Your sense of taste can change after you give up smoking. A couple of my favourites from the first month now taste vile and I've thrown a few half-used bottles away. I don't mind as they were small bottles to begin with, but I would resent throwing too much away. Others have gone the other way and I'm now enjoying some I didn't like to start with, so don't throw anything away at this point either.

Good luck for tomorrow! I went from 20 cigarettes a day to zero in 4 days, couldn't believe it. I went out and bought a carton, intending to make it my last and make the switch gradually . . . I still have 180 cigarettes in the drawer.

I was lucky to have "weather support" when I decided to vape vs smoke. I gathered up vape stuff just as the polar vortex was coming our way and it was too doggoned cold to leave the house. So the first day I vaped was the last day I smoked. And, yes, the banner is really a big help, especially in the beginning.

Keep vaping...soon you will be wondering what you ever thought was good about smoking.

I was a pack to 1 1/2 pack a day smoker when i quit. I stopped at the vape shop and spend about what a carton of analogs would cost and on a tank battery and juice. I was a little upset when I got home cause they ripped me just a little on what I got lol. Anyway I had 2 cigs left in my pack I put them on top the bookshelf for that just in case moment. Well needless to say they were gone that night lol. After that havent touched one. I still crave really hard sometimes but the vape helps so much. I ordered better equipment and some juice Im still looking for a 3rd favorite flavor. One I can vape for a day or two like the 2 I like now. Ill find it in time lol.

Im almost 2 months into this and my chest dosent hurt when Im under stress anymore, I feel like I can breath again, Im sleeping better, I can taste and smell things, and I honestly dont seem to get irritated like I use to. I still crave like crazy sometimes but Im fighting the cravings Ive found that the after taste of coconut for some reason replaces the craving for the taste of an analog could just be me its very strong coconut flavor not really that good but it has its purpose.

Someone came in the doctors office the other day that had just smoked and I thought wow I used to smell like that. It was pretty nasty lol. hang in there and good luck.

Some folks can switch right over from PAD to all vape, and others like myself took a few weeks of playing around with vape gear (the learning curve) to finally making the switch. During my transition period, I couldn't shake the morning cigs. I could go most of the day, but would have a few in the evening. Then, I went out of town one weekend without any analogs...eureka! Never looked back.

Haha too late. I got 20 bottles here and another 18 coming.
My taste is different. Most juices are so so. Most people like Tribeca. I hate it. So far I like midnight apple, by halo, as my ADV, yellow submarine by j vapes as secondary and juicy fruit.

Tried orange cream yesterday, tasted like detergent.
Most of my juice was 99cent sales at killer Juice though. So if I end up tossing it....not a biggy

Haha, I posted I had three yesterday because I planned to have 1 more. I didnt end up having it. I decided i might as well go to sleep.

Now Im in the phase, havent had one since i woke up couple hours ago.... And I really do want my morning smoke......

Usually I have it.... like ten minutes after I wake up. Even with the vaping its kinda tough. Im going to try to last a couple more hours before I have one.... If i last 2 more hours, than it will have been 24 hours since my last Smoke

24 HOURS!!!!! right now i am sitting at 22 hours.
And hopefully in a couple hours... i wont want one.

VAPING....IS.... AMAZING.

Its like magic.
Seriously. What wizardry is this.

That's what it was for me. Even while vaping I was saying, "let me go smoke a cigarette" and at first I would. Had to tell myself I'm already getting the nicotine.

I never wanted to stop smoking, I LOVED it ! Had a health scare and HAD TO stop. I don't know what I would have done without vaping...

Everyone's got a slightly different story, and a slightly different approach to vaping. Some drop the cigs right away, some "transition" as you do over a period of time, some still have a cigarette or two here and there.

It's all about harm reduction, and that means smoking AS FEW cigarettes as you're able to deal with. If that's zero, so much the better!

Best of luck in putting the cigarettes down for good!
