I saw where you wrote about going to Germany with Hubby. Have you found out anything about vaping while overseas? Have they put you in touch with a sponser on your new base yet? They used to have a fellow squadron members wife/husband write to a new member's wife/husband to help her/him make the transition from one base to another.

No real info yet, we JUST got orders, as we were origionally going to England. I know we CAN vape over there, and it looks like we'll be able to get our favorite juices there too. Time to send an email to the v4l guys and see if they can ship us batteries etc. I'm thinking of getting a mod too, so there's that.
I have a friend already over there, and another one arriving about the same time as me (August-ish) so at least I won't be lonely. No, the whole sponser thing is going through hubs, and as above, no info since we just recieved word a little while ago.

Thanks for checking up on me! I'm sooo excited this'll be just so cool for the girls and I. I'm learning basic German (hello, good bye, how much, etc) and although my pronuciation is still disgusting I'm picking it up (slowly) hoping some immerson helps.

I am sure it's exciting! I know I would be. It's a chance to see the world.
It's also wonderful to know someone when you get there. The military is it's own family..but it is good to see a familiar face or two.
I tried learnig some German for my hubby's family research..all the sites were German speaking. But when I went on to his mother's side in Flanders,Belgium. It was a different language..a lot of French/German/ whatever. Boy was I lost!
I thought once you got settled you would start a thread about your adventures! I would love pictures too.

I plan to do a lot of stories on my adventures. I'm an amature wordsmith (i.e. unpublished wanna be writer) and love traveling etc. I'm also handy with a camera. SO! I will take pictures. right now, I'd just be happy to see the end of this snow.. but that' another story.

The military is most definatly it's own family. I come from a big extended (vaguely Irish Catholic) family, so I'm used to accepting random strangers as potential relitives (they usually are related somehow anyway) into the bosum of my home. I love making new friends, keeping up with old.
