You mentioned that you recently started vaping... One early side effects is a sticky lung, this causes pain and is from the healing process from quitting smoking. Make an appointment with your doctor, and if you have the pain in the meantime, try this... Over inflate your lungs and blow, with your throat closed, to pressurize the lungs. If this works to immediately relive the pain, you will probably survive. But its still prudent to get checked out.

Hope all is well. I'm not sure if it's related either, I quit smoking 7.5 months ago and had some smaller pains in my chest as well the first month. Sometimes wonder if it was small anxiety attacks from a 34 year habit and those damn withdrawals. :hmmm: I was vapeing about 1 or 2 ml's a day then I dropped down to 11mg with no flavorings just 30/70vg for a week or so and had a couple during that time. Then I never had any more chest pains again, so I'm back up to 18mg... Weird!

keep us posted...

good luck

I think seeing a doctor ASAP is the logical move here.

You didn't mention your age. If you are young I highly doubt you are having actual issues with your heart.

Quitting smoking can be extremely stressful. That's why it is so hard to do so it's possible these pains are just stress related.

I hate to ever tell anyone to go back to smoking but it might not be a bad idea to attempt smoking for a day or two and see if the pain goes away. Then try vaping again and see if it returns.

You also didn't really mention how you vaped. Did you quit smoking and only take a couple puffs of vapor to alleviate withdrawal symptoms or did you vape like crazy while making the switch?

When I switched from smoking to vaping I waited until I was REALLY feeling like a cigarette and then I would pull out my vaping gear to get me through it. I think some folks tend to get their new gear and vape their faces off. That can definitely lead to too much nicotine especially for a light smoker like yourself.

I fully agree with those who said SEE YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!

As a small side note and to hopefully help keep you from panic til you do, I have acid reflux, some juices including the classic menthol I have are triggers of it for me. The acid can cause chest pains as well, can feel like you are literally having a heart attack.

Now having said that, there is no way anyone here can tell what is going on with you, there can be lots of reasons you are feeling this. Only your doctor can find the root of the issue.

I am 20 years old and the switch for me was difficult, at first when I switched I was both vaping and smoking analogs, it wasn't until a week in when I completely switched to the e cigarettes. But when I did finally make the switch I began to vape a lot. Also I stopped vaping last night after a big craving and have reduced the amount of vaping today only to when I really feel that I need it and I haven't had as much pain but its definitely still there. I called the doctors office this morning because I was doing research last night and got worried. Appointment is scheduled for later today. Ill let everyone know how it goes. Wish me luck

Turns out I'm healthy! Thank god and thank you to all the forum members for your advice and support. Like a few people stated the nicotine level was too high and I was vaping too much throughout the day. I dont remember the specific name for it but the constant nicotine going into my lungs was sort of overdosing me and the fact I was taking in so much was giving me a very rapid heart beat which was part of the pain. The doctor said also that a big factor in the pain is because I stopped the cigarettes and my body isnt used it so it doesn't know how to react. He said it can causes your muscles to tense up and give you anxiety. I got a chest MRI and it came back clean, the valves and arteries looked clear also my heart looked healthy. It was really a relief to hear him say that; I will be cutting back on how much I vape and will be dropping it down to 16mg I also might get a different brand of menthol e-liquid. Also as someone said previous to this post that drinking a lot of water throughout the day is necessary; the doctor really stressed this as well and said it will help cleanse your body as well. All in all I am super happy that I can still vape and worry a lot less. I hope this offers advice to anyone who may be suffering from the same symptoms. Again thanks everyone!

If you don't have any other juice in the house right now, you may way to go down to wal-mart or another place and get a bottle of vg to help cut it down til you do get some other in

Very glad to hear you went to the Doc, and even more glad that he gave you a clean bill of health. Sounds like he helped you out a lot in the advice department too with the ecig.
