Happened the second week on my BB. 24mg Atomic Cinnicide is to blame. Was told by AltSmoke that they had never heard of that happening before...Now it seems that they have....Anyway it is what it is...The BB has been on the bench for a while. Still there if needed and definitely a good pv. Keep that freekin spring clean and all is good...except the finish......

Hmmm, was thinking about getting hubby a BSB pretty soon but this has me a little worried. Do you think it's the higher mg nic juices that are the culprit? He has a SB and I have a BB and so far haven't had any issues other than the SB scratches really easy. Is the finish on the BSB the same as on the BB? He vapes 18mg in a variety of flavors.

There could be several factors to what may or may not cause it. Some juices may be more corrosive than others, or the powder coat may not have adheared to the device on an optimal level. Any machining fluid left on the device for example left behind after soaking in the solvent used before powder coating. Heat could also be a factor, which would be determined by you vaping habbits, including voltage setup. It is nearly impossible to have a "perfect" finish that will last a lifetime on a device that is in our hands for 16 hours a day. What other device do you hold in your hands, shove in your pocket, throw in your cup holder, and is subject to heat changes. Look at your car keys, just as an example :) Even stainless steel will scratch, stain, tarnish under the right conditions. The BB and the BSB have the same finishes. The SB is polished aluminium, chrome plated if you have a more recent one, of coarse it will scratch. My point being, I do my best to provide users with the best device at a great price, consider the amount of use it gets :)

Oh I didn't mean to make it sound as if I were complaining about the finish on the SB. I knew that would be a factor when I ordered it and so did he, just part of having a piece of equipment like that. Before it's all said and done I bet he has an Omega too! It's an awesome PV and it is the chrome plated, we've had them for just about 2 weeks.

I wouldn't trade the look on his face when he opened the package for anything in the world. He wags it around with him everywhere he goes and you're right...it's in his pocket, on the desk, in the cup holder, in his left hand with his wedding ring, you name it, it never leaves his side. Having said that it makes me happy that he's that happy with it and I'd order it again in a heartbeat.

I'm extremely pleased with my BB and the finish on it is why I got that one for myself instead of the SB, I knew I would abuse it! Actually, I'm really careful with it and probably a little over protective to be honest but you know if it gets banged up a little bit it just goes to show that it's my number one PV.

You guys provide an awesome product at an awesome price and very high quality customer service.

Again, I promise I wasn't complaining.

I certainly understand shoulder pain. I dislocated mine about 4 years ago and it still bothers me from time to time.

Yes, it is hard to read since there's no intonation or inflection, just flat words unless of course there are smilies!

I'm going to have to wait probably another month or so before I order his BSB and I must admit that I'm having a tough time holding back on it. Unless of course we win the lottery and then I'll just get one of each...insert dreaming smiley here!

Ditto for me, by the way. My purpose here was just to set my mind at ease that I didn't have that 1 abberation out of 1000 perfect units.
