I have one, bought it here

UDT-L

I have it as shown in the picture, two tubes and the button housing. A third, so four total segments, which I see that site has the option for is needed to kick an 18650.

Works fine, button is a little loose but clicky but hasn't been an issue so far, threading is rather nice for the price. I haven't kicked it yet but I'll go drop one in and see how it works.

Looks to be the same and even cheaper in price... yet states made from stainless steel not copper.
Also... Web-site states with the sleeve should be able to hold 18650 being kicked.
Have one in shipping and another kick.

The one I linked to will not hold an 18650 and a kick, it would need another ring. 18500 and a kick is fine for me. I can buy the extra sleeve from smoke revolt later if I feel the need. Or I can buy an extra one from e-six and have a spare head.

As for the copper or stainless, almost positive it is copper.

yep, thanks...
I'll try to keep from using it as a hammer, lol

I probably sounded like more of a jerk than I intended to there. I just mean, since the kick grounds, it's obviously not plastic. Also, the part where I have it so I can just look. It just seems like that hadn't read the thread, which was only 8 or 9 posts at that time.

I have dropped it though and knocked it off the table, still works.

Trying to decide between this and the tec mod, tec mod has a few issues apparently like the threading on the connection. u recommend this? UDT-L

I like mine, works with an 18350, 18490/500 kicked or 18650. Button rattles if you shake it but actually has a nice feel and click. Has some wires, hidden, for the button like a bolt but seems to pass voltage as well, or close enough to not notice as my pure mechanicals.

cool, how long have you had it? is it still considered a pure mech mod if it has wires...? i'm looking for something that i know will always work and if it fails it's an easy fix like a new spring, etc so is this something i should still consider having wires (i do soldering work on guitars -pickups, etc so not really worried just curious). sry for all the questions btw, u seem to know what ur talking about so... :toast:

I am not on an expert but it is not really a mechanical mod, more an unregulated mod. I saw a thread here I think or maybe on another forum where someone replaced the switch, didn't look too complex.

I received the tube mod today. The control head and base are chromed, the body sections are gun metal finished. The switch appears nickle plated, an actuation force of approximately 6 oz (170g), and with enough side play to not become bound during or after activation. Unit is not equipped with a shut down mood or electronics to restrict the length of a draw (vape). This mod will accept many batteries configuration including the 18500/18650 with the Kick module. Length 5 3/4" heavy with the 18650 Kicked and has a external dimension of 7/8". None of the mod's interior parts were requiring sanding and/or scuffing for the Kick in making good contact.
My opinion; this is an excellent tube mod in design.
