Just a quick heads up for those interested in the doings of the MHRA (and that's all of us I guess, unless you've been living in a cave for the last 9 months!) that there's an interesting looking program on BBC1 (UK) tonight at 8:30pm (Panorama: A Risk Worth Taking?) - this doesn't concern nicotine, but a diabetes drug called Avandia which the MHRA has colluded with manufacturers GSK to allow to remain on the market despite a number of directly attributed deaths and continuing concerns over potential side-effects (much like the Seroxat Scandal.)
If you miss it, or aren't in the UK, it should be available on iPlayer for 7 days after screening (I'll add a direct link here once it's available.)
