Hey guys, I've had my Panzer for quite a while now and i love it (although it does have its design flaws... *cough* poorly engineered locking ring), however over the past few months I've noticed something strange and somewhat hazardous.

I use sony VT4's and VTC5's, so I don't think it has anything to do with my batteries. However sometimes, not always, but more often than not, when i press the button to fire, there with be very small spots, usually in between or around the threading that connects the center barrel (the longest piece) with the bottom piece (almost identical in length to the top barrel piece) that the fire button piece screws into. It gets so hot that it will burn my hand in between my thumb and index finger (as i hold my mod with one hand and fire with the middle finger). I've taken the batteries out, and they aren't even warm. I've cleaned all the threading and lubricated them with CRC silicon to prevent the pieces from locking up, however this had no effect. Has anyone else had this issue? And does anyone know why this is happening? My guess is that there is some kind of micro arcing going on in these areas but i really have no idea...

Chipotle.
What it's doing is passing voltage through your hand because it has less resistance than the mod in that specific location. Something is either dirty or machined improperly/poorly which is leading to a point of high resistance in the mod and allowing some of the voltage to leech off into your hand. I see this mostly with lower resistance builds in SS mods, check/clean all of your threads and all parts of the switch/contacts and 510 connection.

I am interested, what would you clean the parts with? Cheap vodka? Just water? Thanks, this could be a good thing to know for the future.
