I just received my first authentic mech mod for Christmas/Birthday present. The first thing I did was slap it on a voltage meter and my findings were a little disturbing. I used a Samsung 25r reading at 4.13 and 3.38 under load. That gives me a .75 drop. I have a steampunk clone that has less a drop than that.

Am I doing something wrong? Can certain builds result in different drops? Is it possible I received a defective mod? I'm a little distressed given that my family dropped over two bills on it.

Chipotle.
with a build in the .2 range it's not uncommon to find that much voltage drop, especially in a mod like the Panzer that has a lot of thread connected tube sections. Don't put so much stock into voltage drop, it can change even depending on your measuring methods and a whole slew of other factors(even how you press the button) so unless you have professional level equipment to measure everything and you truly understand what you're doing I would personally recommend that you just vape the Panzer and don't worry about silly numbers that may or may not be accurate. Hell if you want to make yourself feel better, build a 1.0 ohm coil and measure voltage drop with that ;)

Yes, the lower the resistance the higher the recorded or "seen" voltage drop will be, however there are too many variables to accurately measure everything without spending a decent amount of money on measuring equipment.

Edit: If you're measuring mods against one another, you can do so but just be sure that everything is clean and that you use the same atomizer on every mod you're comparing voltage drop with.
