Hi guys, I'm new to the forum but not new to the vape or electrics and battery safety,

I'm in the process of making myself a new custom box mod, now I'm going to be using duel 18650's in parallel, now I know about amp limits etc and what ohms require what amps but what I don't know is if when using batts in parallel does it also double the amp limit as well as the MAH? I'm going to be using 30amp imr batteries as it is but just wondered if with a pair would I have 60 amps?

Thanks

Parallel batteries doesn't double the mAh, but it does double available amps. Series batteries doubles the voltage, and the mAh, but doesn't double the amps.

Only real problem with parallel batteries is a short *CAN* produce as much as 150 amps, and MAN! that's a lot of energy.

Sorry, that's incorrect. If you put two 2400maH batteries in parallel you have a 4800maH battery.
