Parallel single coil

Hi All. I recently discovered that parallel single coils are possible-- essentially fitting dual coils within a single coil's space. Is there any downside to making coils this way, as long as you pay attention to the resultant resistances? Is there really a danger of things shorting out? I guess it burns up juice a little faster, but it seems that more vapor gets produced.

Parallel wound coils work great! Right now I am using an igo-w4, with dual parallel coils. Each coil wind is 1.4 ohms, in parallel for 0.7 ohms. Two of them installed and I'm running at 0.35 ohms. Cotton wick, and this thing kicks some serious .....

Yes, I check my resistances, and use MNKE batteries for safety.

Make sure your batteries can support the amp draw of your setup.

The 0.35 @ 4.2 full battery is 12amps, so 25 amp mnke is good to go.
