I am hopelessly lost trying to figure out this ecig thing. I started out buying the throw-away cigs you buy at stores. Too expensive for long term use. I am currently using Purecigs (Electronic Cigarettes | E Cigarettes - Pure Cigs) and have two battery sticks and a usb passthrough device. I also bought 2 packs of the what they call 'refill cartridges' that look like the filter on a regular cig that they call 'full flavor (2.4%). I'm pretty satisfied because all you have to do is unscrew the empty one and screw a new one on. It's clean and easy. As far as I can tell, when a cartridge is empty, you throw it away even though they're called 'refills'. I am pretty satisfied, but I need more flexibility in the tobacco strength department and, even though the e-liquid thing intimidates me a bit, I will probably end up doing it.

I was just about to order from this site (https://www.........../shopping/default.asp) because they allow you your choice of tobacco strengths - Xhigh, 24mg., XXhigh, 36mg., XXXhigh 48mg., but they take 4-6 weeks for about $5.00 in shipping. I don't want to wait that long. So I am going to order now, but I'm trying to figure out whether I should order more Purecig's or try something else. I have some questions I would appreciate if you guys could help me out and guide me in a good direction. Most of all I want an e-cig that is cost effective, strong, and hasa long battery life per charge

1. Are Purecigs a good buy?
2. Can you refill their cartridges?
3. Can you use other companies screw-on filters, or do most companies make their parts proprietary?
4. Is the EP9 brand good?
5. Which type of e-cig has choice of strength?
6. Is 24mg. the approximate strength of a regular cig like a Marlboro?
7. Are 36mg. and 48mg. really strong and not for the faint of heart?

Here are the starter kits for E-Cig (https://www.........../shopping/default.asp). Is one of these a good choice? And what would you recommend instead?

Packaging: For your choices there are THREE different packages:
basic_packs.jpg
Basic Pack package includes: 1 E9 Battery, 3 Cartomizers, 1 E-Pack Charger Box, 1 USB Connector with a blister card packaging which can be easily displayed in the retail stores.

First, Welcome to ECF!

Others that are more knowledgable than me will be here soon. But I would say no to the Purecigs and go with a Riva or eGo. The battery life will be A LOT better and both have a standard 510 thread that allows you to try several different "filter" options. (cartomizers, attys, tanks)
It is so overwhelming at first, just hang in there!

I just copied this from QusieQ on another thread...
"As for an e-cig I really like the kGo 1100mah from hoosierecigsupply. It's 510 thread and gets rave reviews, and at $44 a great deal. The supplier is super good with customer service."

I've heard good things about the kGo and hoosierecigsupply. 1100mah will give you about 11 hours vape time before needing to recharge and the 510 thread that I already mentioned is very versatile.

If you MUST have something that looks more like a cigarette I have heard good things about the Volt.

Jake, a comment about the site you want to order from...if you try to click any of your links, they will take you to a "server not found" page(using firefox browser)...there is a reason for this...ECF software is blocking that site because they have/are scamming folks either with inferior gear, false advertising or just plain ripping people off...this is done because they got caught and reported multiple times by board members and this is done for your protection...in the main index on the top of this page, is a button(Forum Suppliers), which will take you to suppliers who have been vetted by ECF...personally, I would tell you to forget the junk you think you know and get the KGO from hoosierecigsupply.com, along with a couple of 5pks of low resistance(2ohm+-) cartomizers...........

I agree with the folks that have already posted. Don't go with the company you are looking at. I didn't see you post any prices but I am sure that it is probably way over-priced for what you get.

I have an e-power, that I love but some folks have had quality issues with the switches. I purchased a full kit, including 30 MLs of juice and five cartomizers (good ones - 1.7 ohm LRs) for less that $60 at crystal clear vaping.

If you insist on getting something that looks and feels (somewhat) like a cigarette, someone already suggested the Volt. I had the Halo G6 and really liked it. Good service, the flavors are great and the prices are reasonable. Also, I would strongly suggest that you go against you inclination for an automatic battery (like I did) and get the manual one. You'll have a lot less issues.

It all depends what you are looking for if you are looking for an all day vape I would go to liberty flights E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings and get a Riva 510 their carto deluxe kit at this time with 20% (click on the upper right top page for discount) $34.39 you will have to buy e-liquid and at this time they are in stock. They have all different Riva kits but just showing you. I have bought their deluxe kit 9 months ago and am still using the battery's. Hope this helps a little :)
