I'm a little paranoid after hearing about e-cig batteries exploding. I have a cheap blu starter kit that I got just to try out different flavors and see if I'd like vaping, an e-go kit with two manual 510 batteries, and a couple disposables.
Have batteries ever exploded while NOT charging? Can it happen when they're exposed to too high of temperatures? Or a huge temperature change like being in a cold car for 6 hours and then going into a warm house? Could it happen if my manual battery was in its case and the button got pushed for a long period of time? I'm paranoid anytime I put my stuff in the case and check like 3 times to make sure the buttons aren't being pushed.
The reason I'm so worried is I have a 9 month puppy at home and I would never forgive myself if one of my batteries caused a fire while he was at home alone. I've actually been stuffing most of my vaping stuff in my purse when I go to work just in case. This really doesn't work well because then my purse doesn't zip up all the way, and it's obviously extra weight I don't want to be carrying around.
The other thing that makes me nervous is I have no idea what brand my e-go is (I've heard that's not a brand but just a style/type of kit???) and I also don't know the mah rating and all that stuff.
I guess my main concern is the batteries exploding when they're not even charging. Or disposables exploding. I feel like I can take extra precautions while charging my batteries, but it freaks me out knowing what could happen when I'm gone and my dog is home alone.
I know the main concern is the charging, but has anyone heard of batteries exploding while not charging? And would it be ok to keep my batteries in a cold car all day if I had to?
