I've seen a few posts from people who've gotten pulled over. Obviously no one has been charged with anything and one person called and spoke with a supervisor and was invited to do a presentation on ecigs at the local station.

I've never had a problem with it myself, but I'd look at it as an opportunity to educate the local law enforcement so other vapers could avoid it down the road.

I think it looks like anything but an E cig to most people when I use my Provari and tank in public. Why would the cops see it any differently? They are doing their job if they think you are using a drug device but once you explain that should be good enough. Some cops just act like jerks because they can but I think most are fine.

I've never been pulled over, but it wouldn't bother me as I could talk my way out of it easily. However, I do get really uncomfortable when I take take a drag, blow a huge cloud, and realize the person in the car next to me is staring with googly eyes. I vape a buzz pro with a huge tank on it, which doesn't look great to the uninformed.

I've vaped in front of cops several times, and they've never questioned me at all. I also saw a couple of cops taking their lunch break near me one day and asked them if they were familiar with vaping, showed them my lavatube and tank, etc. One of them had seen a PV with a tank before, the other had no idea. Neither seemed to think it would attract unwanted attention.

The most recent time I vaped in front of a cop was in a restaurant. Me, him, and a girl sitting with him were the only people there (mid-afternoon) and I vaped after my meal as I finished reading the paper. I didn't stealth vape at all, didn't try to hide it. Mostly I didn't think much about it, as I figured the worst that would happen would be he would ask me a few questions and I would point out that it wasn't against the law and that I'd done it in that restaurant many times without anyone ever saying a word. He didn't say anything to me, and I don't know if he noticed it or not.

I haven't been pulled over but I was approached by security at the VA Hospital. I was standing outside puffing away on my Buzz Pro and a security guard asked me what it was. I explained and he listened politely, but said I should be inside the smoke shack and not outside where people can see. I told him I didn't want to breath all that smoke and he got a kinda startled look on his face and walked away.

i think attitude and behavior while vaping in public has a lot to do with how some people will interpret your actions. i've vaped in front of persons of authority in a variety of situations and my attitude is always casual. i've never been approached, even while vaping in non-smoking areas with security guards/cops nearby. literally didn't even get a second look.
once i was vaping outside my offices, which is conveniently located in a rough area, and some other workers in another office within the same building were outside smoking and were discussing very audibly that "i would laugh if she was here and a cop came by".
it was passive agressive so i turned to them and said "why? so we can discuss that what i'm doing is more legal than a cigarette?"
they just smile at me now when i'm outside.

My companies new policy is to go through those motions so that the vaper realizes what they are glorifying, because there are usually hundreds of families in the area. Also, someone has to complain first, so just try not to be obnoxious with them clouds and smoke signals ;)

I have wondered about this too, the PV im using looks like a cig, but i have a Kgo in the mail, and i worry about trouble with the police.
I only worry because i live in a small conservative town with a big police force, and ive been pulled over many times with no given reason. they claim they smell, well you know, in my car, make me get out, search my car etc. usually takes about an hour out of my day, and it gets annoying. ill also get stoped and searched under "suspicious activity" at random times and at random places. I dont do anything out of the ordanary, i just dont look "normal" so i believe that's the cause of most of the trouble i run into, and sadly i feel having a PV that doesn't look like a regular cigarette will increase that chance.
