This has bugged me from the beginning and it's probably been answered, but I missed it.

Question: What's the function of the knurled ring at the atty connection (AFS3)? It screws up and down, but I can't figure out why it screws up and down.

it's there to let the right amount of liquid into the 510 style atty... the idea being that if at fully open you find that you're flooding the atty too often, then you can screw that thing upwards to close the passage to the little holes a bit...

I think the recommended way is to screw it all the way up and then unscrew 1 or 2 turns to let the liquid go in... that should mean no flooding of the atomisers...

Winner! I leave mine all the way open and just adjust the air flow with the CR. I haven't flooded yet but I'm a relatively new AFS V3 owner. If you screw that ring up too high, you won't get any liquid and it really takes some fine tuning to get it in the best position.

Hi Parallex2,

This is to control the flow rate of the juice to the atty. Typically, you screw it all the way up (against the atty), then unscrew it about 1/4 turn, then try it. This is going to be based on the mixture of your juice (PG/VG) The thicher it is, the more you will want to open it, but use 1/4 turn increments otherwise it will flood. Hope this helps.

Thanks.....and it does help. I've left mine where it was to begin with and it works perfectly so I didn't want to screw it up or down and screw things up....

Another questions since the brains of the group are here....one of mine just started leaking out the draw adjustment holes when I lay it down. I've done nothing but fill it up and vape and fill it up again and only use one ejuice in it. Any idea what to look for as to the cause?

It's not a big leak, but annoying to have to clean it up

CT is full, please empty it Para. Close CR and empty the liquid to the bottle:)

I think what happens is that the small amount of juice going in to the CT gets caught on the small ledge instead of dripping into the tank. This is probably due to surface tension. As it rolls around, it gets to the air holes and they break that tension. The liquid then follows the path of least resistance (out the holes). The ledge inside the CT needs a downward angle. I thought about taking my dremel to it but changed my mind. Now I just tap it against my hand to make sure the juice goes in the CT instead of sitting on the ledge.

Another quick tip for those of you that are getting a burnt taste even when your primary tank has juice...close the CR all of the way and take a couple of pulls off the mouthpiece without firing. This creates negative pressure in the tank and draws more liquid to your atty. Then just open the CR and vape away. Works everytime.
