Ok now my problem is with the new firing pin upgrade kit. I did replace one Reo Grand perfectly BUT not the other one.

Here is the part i think i messed up.

GrandPolishedcopycopy.jpg

I removed the old center pin and before i replaced it i looked on the inside bottom of the mod (not shown) and there was some white stuff so i tried to get it out. It just got shredded up. So when i put the new pin and gasket in and finished connecting everything back together it wont get juice to the cup :( I think the shredded part was very important...

Do i need to send it in for repair or is it something i can do myself?

You did a bad. That's the sealant at the base of the 510. Remove it and you have a leaking mess.

Pretty sure the entire 510 needs to come out now. Unless you have a suitable press to remove it and insert the new one you will need to send it to the spa for a fix.

I also removed the sealant inside that cavity like yolo did. I had to do it due to the fact that I regularly dismantle my Reo completely for clean up in the ultrasonic bath, and all the dismantling and assembling obviously caused the sealant to break up little by little over time. Not surprisingly e-juice started to leak into the Reo. I was tempted to fill the cavity with silicone, but that would not be a permanent solution.

My solution: I've cut a piece of 4mm OD teflon tubing to size, and force fit it into the cavity. The ID of the teflon tubing is small enough for the centre pin for a real tight fit. This I did in May this year, and with regular total dismantle and reassemble cleaning routine haven't experienced any leaks.

All this said, I don't say this is the best way at all, it just worked 100% for me. Redeyedancer will have a valid reason why he uses a sealant in the cavity during manufacturing and the latter may still be the best solution.
