I love it when the easiest solution turns out to be both cheap and good looking....
so I have been using my passthrough with a battery pack, but I had an annoying problem.....when I had it plugged into my computer I needed all four feet of the USB cable, but when I was out and about I hated having a big loop of cable trailing me around.....
so I was sitting at my work bench and I noticed a package of 3/8ths inch black O-rings sitting there.....I slipped a couple of those over the battery end of my passthrough....then I made a few loops of cable about four inches long and squeezed them flat.....I rolled one O-ring over one end of the loops and the other over the opposite end......my tightly bundled loops deducted about two feet of my cable length and stayed in place all day.....when I got to my computer, I simply rolled the O-rings off the loops and shook the cable out to its full length....the rings slid down the cable and are sitting there waiting for me to reuse them tomorrow morning......since the O-rings are black and the same diameter as the USB cable, it looks like a custom made solution.....cost at nearly any hardware store, around 28 cents.....
