passthrough

hello all,
might be kinda of a noob question.I think the passthrough is a rechargeable battery that charges through the computer all the time.
MY question is does that battery have the same life as a normal battery(200xcharges) or does it last longer?also can you replace the battery that comes with it or do you have to buy a whole new passthrough?
Just wondering if I should invest in one..

ROB, I need add a question to your post. I just recieved a 510m passthrough with an inline batt. holder. [ but no batt. ]. Its AAA size but I dont know what type it takes. The Rookie...

Rob87. You can replace the battery. It's a 10440 Lithium Ion. Rechargeable.

Not all of them have batteries, here my review on a 901 version without! They sell also 510 versions etc. I never had the battery version but sure someone will have more info?
