I have a 510 PT with an in-line 10440 battery with 320 mAh.

What would happen if I used it with a 5V/2000mA AC to USB adapter?

Would the PT output be greater than what it is when connected to my PC's USB port or would it be the same because the in-line battery is limiting the voltage to the atomizer?

I've searched around the forums but just can't find any reference to the in-line battery part of my question.

I've been using that exact setup for a few months now. In fact, I'm using it now. lol.

You mean a 501 PT with an in-line battery plugged into a 5V/2000mA AC to USB adapter? Do you think there is advantage to using it that way vs. using the USB port on your PC to trickle charge the battery?

It is a little safer to use a 110v wall unit then a USB port on your PC if you are going to be vapping it. But just to charge I believe the PC is ok

Yeah floridamale, I've been told that before and have bought 3 different car adapters and tried each with different PT's. None of them work. I also haven't been able to get a PT to work with a wall outlet USB adapter.

you still need a 2A(2000Ma) car adapter, most that you just grab from any random store are usually at best 1A, my guess is that this is your problem; griffin brand sells alot of there wall and car chargers at 2A so thats a good idea.. theyll usually say on the box or charger themselfs

I use an 808 XL PT on a 5V1000mA AC adapter. This is just more convenient for me than plugging it into the computer (only open USB ports are on the back, so half the cord length would disappear).

I wanted a 2 amp adapter, but they're too expensive (I'm buying things on a "I'd have spent this much today on analogs" basis), and you have to order them (I hate waiting for things). My computer's USB ports are only rated 600mA, so I knew the PT would work fine on a 1000mA adapter, or would blow out my computer.
