If you're wanting a PT that can be run from your computer safely, you need one that has an inline battery (they are 3.7V). If you want a 5V (no inline battery), majority of vendors carry them. These are 5V PT's and are not safe to run on a USB connection. Computers don't supply the proper power to fire these which can lead to your computer being damaged. Use a wall charger for all 5V PT's. There isn't a PT that's better than another IMO. Majority of them are made by the same manufacturer in China. The only ones I would say are better are from madvapes.com...5V...handmade...but cost $30. Piper makes a 3 stage (3.2, 3.7, 4.2V) passthrough but I don't care for them. Gotvapes and a few other vendors sell these. Ego also sells a battery that can be charged and vaped at the same time...another 3.7V.

I bought several passthroughs when I started. All of them broke (or lost the damn little rubber button rendering it useless to me). You might want to look into a little box mod that has a usb connection. You can find them here >>>>> HotBox-Blue at Ace of Vapes. You can use it just as you would a passthrough but you can also disconnect it from the charger and have a great little box mod to use. You can use it with a car charger too. It comes in lots of different colors as well. I think they're very cool and well made. May not be your thing though.
Other than something like that I couldn't really suggest another passthrough.

I have a good Joye PT, very welll put together. You might want to be careful on the wall charger choice for the 5v, I was at a popular suppliers' site today and they had reg and PT ones. He didn't specify why the diff., I don't know if it was referring to all PT's or 5v's.

    Here it is-

I prefer the in-line battery PTs. Tried the 5v cheap ones with no inline batt (prolly not those mentioned here) and they were awful. The eGo PT is my backup to my backup. Vapes better than a regular eGo when plugged in imo. I used it with LR 306 and LR 510 attys until I read here that it could blow up using LR supplies. You're not supposed to put LR attys or cartos on eGos or Rivas. Bummer. Still, glad I have the eGo PT for an emergency. XtremeVaping.com has them on sale last I looked.

Not a good one to use with a 5V PT. You want the one from madvapes...make sure the one you buy is 2amp.
