passthru unusally hot??

i just got my manual kit and im loving it!!!!
ive vaped so much both of the batteries r
dead now hahaa.

so i plug in the passthru and only have a
couple of drags its HOT.
like i was expecting a little bit of heat,
idk but it seems to b unusually hot.



anyone have any input?

Could be the cart is used up and you're overvaping it. Tried a new cart?

Remember - the batteries run at around 3.7volts, the passthrough runs at 5volts, so it packs a more serious punch, and will be hotter than batteries anyway (but not overly so, unless the cart has run out)

since they run at different volts, would this explain why the car usb charger I got with my kir doesn't work with the pass thru I ordered from V4L? or should it and maybe I got a DOA one? or just doing something incorrect? Thanks!!

I'm not sure I understand your question correctly.

Did you get the adapter (cig lighter to USB) from V4L? If so, was it in a little clear plastic self-seal bag when you got it?

Does the PT work on your computer?

The output of the USB needs to be at least 1 amp.

That is true, but won't help him in this situation if it came from V4L.

They were mis-marked and say 200ma.

Ditto. Auto passthru does not work on V4L car adapter. I've tried 2 adapters now. I might order this one when I have extra cash and see if it works - supposedly 2000ma. USB Geek, Your USB Solution!!

Mine doesn't work in the car either. Plug in the cigarette lighter adapter and the red light comes on. Then plug in the USB PT to the adapter and nothing happens. But I will say that I haven't plugged my PT on my laptop yet. Will try that this afternoon

could be. i'll pop it open when i get home. i need to try the pass thru directly connected to my laptop too. haven't tried that. i wanted the PT for the car.
