Yeah, i did see some posts that said they worked but i have 4 different wall adapters that all say 5v 1000mA and none of them work with my PT.
Just wondering. I guess I'll try ordering ONE MORE that's been said to work.
I keep spending loot tho just on trying things. :(

Also I was wondering about prematurely ruining a carto using the 2000mA one that i have now.

Umm - didn't I just see this, then a half a dozen answers, even linking to specific 1A models that work that are incredibly inexpensive, and also an explanation that some 1A power supplies are over-rated and up-binned?

Nope. You could run it on a nuclear power-plant with a 5v output and a terawatt of available power. A device sources whatever current it needs, no more, no less.

If there's less current than it wants, it functions poorly or not at all (and will overheat), and trip/blow any fusing device.

If there's more current available than it needs, then the power supply will run cooler and everyone happy.

As a general design rule, you build power supplies to 2x what the device requires. For inrush, to keep it cool, and just general use-cases that didn't get modeled.

Well thats good to know Adrenalynn! I may just get another one of my Rosewills now.
And for under 2 bucks + shipping I'm going to try one of those that Sheryl said works too.

Thanks to both of you.

Moderators, feel free to delete this thread. I could have asked the same thing as a reply to some other post but I was also testing if I could create a new thread.
This board is huge and you don't need extraneous/duplicate crap bogging it down at the front end.

You're more than welcome. I use mine for the PT's, and when I charge my batteries with the usb charger.

Damn, the vapor you could get off 100KV at 100KA... Sounds like a mod I'd like to try :)

It might be too big though, and how much resistance would you need across the atty? :p
