I'm just getting into RDAs - purchased a real deal Patriot RDA and have been using it on my shiny new Deus Prism (Which I love by the way, I have 2 provari and a nemesis clone but the Prism was a treat to myself for quitting smoking)

Anyway, built 2 micro coils and wicked it with cotton. The past 2 days it's been very hit or miss on the vape, sometimes it very airy and makes me cough, a few times I would get a quality hit and great flavor.

I was watching a video on another RDA and noticed I wasn't lining the air holes up with the coils - so I lined them up and it seems to be doing better, since the coils are to the right on each side I lined the air holes up so they are pointing towards the right hand end of the coil. Is this the proper way? Went through a 10ml bottle of juice experimenting but I know if I'm going to be dripping I shouldn't be worried about juice lol.

Also, on the patriot (I know it depends on how you wick it) after about how many hits should I drip more juice and how many drops?

Check out my setup and let me know what you think. I'm probably going to get one more really nice mechanical and one more RDA that allows for single coil builds, am thinking a Panzer or Hades and a Helios or Trident respectfully.

It's funny I've tried to quit several times via vaping and usually would do ok for the most part but would sneak one here and there but now that I'm really getting into it (more so than just having a provari and a protank like before) as a hobby I have zero interest in smoking I am so proud of myself.

Everyone please let me know about the airholes I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly - thanks!

May have answered my own question, lining the airholes up so the air almost shoots through the coil is producing nice clouds with warmth and good flavor. Just wondering if it's better to have the air hit the coil or go through it, I'll experiment but want to know from some vets here what they have had the best luck with.

Trying it now, thanks. I rebuilt the coils like 3 times and must have rewicked it 7-8 times thinking that was the issue. I built both coils with 28g kanthal 10 wraps each and it came out to .9 ohm is there any advantage only wrapping 6-8 coils and having the ohms be lower? Before I wicked it I fired it and they glow super quick, didn't know if going down to .6 or so would be better
