Holy Crap, I just realized this when I looked at my signature in a different post. I hit the 1 Month mark today!
Not in a million years did I ever think that I would quit smoking. I was pretty confident that smoking would end up killing me one day (Well it still could I guess)! It is such a good feeling to have finally gotten this Monkey off my back!
If there are any Newbs out there reading this post, just know that this does work! I am still relatively young (32) and the only reason I really tried to quit was because of the social pressure surrounding me (AKA- People .....ing at me). I was one of those smokers who had the mindset that I couldn't possibly live my life without smoking. Just the thought of driving down the road or finishing a meal; without having a cigarette, just didn't seem right! Obviously I understood all the health risks with smoking, but that wasn't really my main reason for doing this. I am so glad that I did. This truly has been a life changing experience, and I can honestly say that I have no desire (whatsoever) to smoke a real cigarette!
Anyhow I figured I earned the right to preach a little since I hit my first milestone. Good luck to everyone who is just embarking on this journey!
