A PCC isn't a pass-through, it's a Personal Charging Case.
A Passthrough is a 'USB battery' that you plug your atomizer in to.
Similar ideas, but not the same. I've heard of a few systems off-lining the USB port due to excess current draw, and it may be possible on older systems it could cause problems (in theory).
Use a powered USB hub if you're concerned, but I charge(batteries and Passthroughs) and vape (passthrough) all day long on mine.
I split charging between a powered usb hub, and the usb on my laptop. Been doing this for at least a month/month and a half with no problems. Like wegster said, if you're really worried about blowing a usb port, then invest in a simple powered usb 2.0 hub. They very cheap, and with the amount of usb chargers that i have, dedicated one hub to charging batteries.
