PCC for XL?

Will there be a PCC for the XL bats? If so, any idea of when? Soon I hope.

Hope so too. But at least you can still charge it in the current pcc, just can't close it.

It would not be difficult to pull the works out of the current pcc and use it in a larger case. I think I'll give it a try with an old case from a car stereo face plate, if it will fit. I'll think of something.

I think there are pics about this somewhere on the board here. I know someone was trying to do it. They said that the wires come out very easily and to be very careful when pulling it out of the case.

I will proceed with all due caution. I never use my pcc anyway (because I use Xl batts.), so if I trash it I won't be heartbroken.

I'd rather they develop one that holds two batteries. One charging and with with a carto.

Does anyone know what kind of battery is in a pcc? Is it li-ion or is it ni-mh? My guess is ni-mh. Pretty sure it's not ni-cad or rc-alkaline.

I saw these, think they're new. One the DSE China website. They make the DSE901 and 905 and 801 models:

I think this might hold the XL and a spare battery and some cartomizers too. But its so new there isn't any place in the US to order one.

Nilius' has a different battery (and guts) than mine. Looks like another of those manufacturer changes?

That one is an NiMH battery. And it's over-rated in the photo.

The NiMH is an incredibly dumb idea. Hint: An NiMH cell is 1.2v nominal. There's three cells there.

Strange. I wonder what came with mine then. His says 808E, and mine is still 808D,
it says MODEL 808D/808D-1.
