PCC or Wall charging?

So here I sit. A 510 battery just died. To my left, a wall charger. To my right a PCC.

Which do I use? The PCC with the auto shutoff or the wall charger that can stay on all night (and maybe overcharge the battery?)

Or does it even make a difference?


Oh ya... the PCC is plugged into the USB, if that makes any difference.

I would use the wall charger and save the PCC for on the go. In either case, leaving batteries on the charger should not be an issue. I typically plan to take the batteries off when charging is complete, but I have forgotten and left them on overnight many times with no ill effects.

batteries deteriorate through use. The general rule of thumb is that you'll get around 300 or so discharge/recharge cycles before they start losing performance. Your PCC has a battery inside. If you use it as your primary charger it will probably not last very long. When I was using a standard 510 I'd use the wall charger as my primary device. Sometimes I'd go through those little batt's quicker than the single charger could keep up. I used the PCC as a backup charger for those times and kept 3 batteries in rotation that way. So, long story short, use the wall charger whenever possible, use the PCC only when necessary.

Edit: A properly working charger won't overcharge your battery so it's ok to leave batt's on after the light turns green.
