PCM battery holders?

Im considering using this battery holder in my lm2596 Altoids mod and wanted to know if anyone could explain what protection this has built in, what is a protection circuit module, any tips would be helpful. if that uses the same type of protection as most of those I have seen it will not turn on without a charger connector available on the mod...basically that will let ya build a mod that uses an external charger that plugs into the mod...but without the charger the board inside the batt holder will not turn on...I could be wrong but it looks like one of these which I have used on one of my mods...the link I added has a better description of operation....good luck...they also build the stuff here in the USA altho I think it is a Chinese owned company or uses a good many Chinese parts...I could be wrong...

Depends on usage, I've gotten a good 8 hours or more out of my ACDC LM2596 with 2 Trustfire Flames 14500s. That was with ~3ohm clearo, 4.5V and 4-5mLs of juice.
