6! Is that all? I have 8. 3 are fosters, though, but I don't think they are EVER going to leave. All 8 of these buggers are Persians, too. Fluffy is a dollface and so are 2 of the other, but 5 of them have the flattest little faces you've ever seen.

That is pretty funny, huh? Fluffy was a stray, all my fosters are. I've got 2 cats that were caged for 14 and 13 years respectively, horrible conditions, a dad and daughter, silver shaded Persians. So sweet and they are living the good life now. I love these cats.

We had 7 but lost one to heart disease this year. All of ours were strays that we adopted. We found homes for a few but mostly once they are here, they are here to stay. We love our furrbabies! I have always wanted a persian or a ragdoll, but I have never been able to have one. We always get the strays that folks are leaving to die, so there is never room for a purebred. Most of those are going to good homes so we take our bedraggled bunch. I am curious to hear about how you have rescued your persians though...but I reckon we ought to get back to discussing peach cobbler at some point!

We do need a chat room for off topic stuff, don't we?

Well if anyone pops in here with cobbler info, I hope they post it, I don't think anyone has tried it yet, seems like.

I'm sorry you lost your kitty, same thing happened to mine last year. Really sad.

I work with 2 Purebred Rescue Groups, one in N. Cal and one in SCal. They take in breed cats exclusively since they are much more difficult to deal with than a normal cat. If you ever want to adopt one, let me know. I have 3 lovebugs looking for new mammas and daddys over here. PM me if you want more info. Oh, you are in NC, too far to do anything, I just noticed that. But I can probably hook you up with a rescue in your area through one of my groups if you ever want that.

I just got my VK today and it came with a cart of Peach Cobbler. :D

It is very hard to give you guys a good review because, 1) I'm a brand new vaper, and 2) all the carts Steve included (a couple surprises I think) have very odd tastes to me. I am pretty sure it's the "breaking in" period for each cart.

I can tell you, however, that out of all of them, the cobbler has the least "OMG I just sprayed bathroom deodorizer in my mouth" taste. I can actually taste some peachiness to it. The regular peach tastes just like the pear, and the RY4 has a decidedly strong aftertaste to it, rather exotic but not in a good way; to my palette in any case.

As stated, I am new, first kit, could just be the primer (praying to all gods available that's what it is).

But yea, out of all of them the cobbler has the best taste for a brand new PV and user. Days will tell...

I think I'm going to order some regular tobacco flavor carts for now and see how that goes. Definitely love the vapor on this model though, very easy to prime and I'm sitting here using the pass through. Was a little disappointed that I got auto batts; thought for sure I was getting manuals, but all is well, I can order them separately.

Hope you all like your cobbler when you get it.

Yes, I believe that you have to take several puffs and not inhale them when you first start out with a new cart from what I have read here or it does taste really bad. So here's hoping you enjoy the cobbler.

"I can tell you, however, that out of all of them, the cobbler has the least "OMG I just sprayed bathroom deodorizer in my mouth" taste."

Oh,that gave me a good belly laugh when I read that. I am sure it'll straighten out after you puff for awhile. Let us know!

I will tell you this, I have quite a few converts from smoke 51, who hated our carts at 1st, and now, order by the 100's cause they took some time to get used too. These have much more flavor, and throat hit, than most any ecigs, and many told me they tasted chemical's at first, and now, apologize, every order. I understand, they are IN YOUR FACE flavors, and as such, you need some some to adjust.

Let us know

Steve:cool:

Hi Steve :)

Yes, you are right. I have been puffing away on and off all evening and it's getting much better. The RY4 is growing on me. I think it's the "in your face" flavor (as you said) plus the conversion from the familiar taste of the analog to this new and unusual world of vaping.

But I am extremely happy with it so far. Soon as I can afford it I'll be picking up a manual battery (or two) from you. I still have no idea how you can tell the auto is still "on" other than when it lights up when you hit it.

A week of browsing and watching vids and I still have questions LOL. It's fun to be a newbie for something that is going to improve my health.

Cheers!

Oh, Rhaevyn, I didn't realize you'd never vaped at all before. Yes, it is a bit of a transition, no doubt about that! I didn't like it at all for the first 2 days I tried it, but after that, I got accustomed to the difference. Everything about it felt and tasted so odd after having smoked for so many years. Hopefully, you'll start liking it more and more. I wanted tobacco flavor at first, but once I tried some of the other flavors, I liked them even better. I don't have my stuff from Steve yet, but as far as I can tell and from the experience I've had for the past month of using ecigs, this is as good as it gets for product quality and service. I wish I had gotten here first.

I hope you acclimate quickly and this works out for you.

Welcome, Rhaevyn. Glad to have you here with us.

You already figured out how to tell if the auto battery is on or not -- if the LED light is on, then the battery is activated. I have both the manual and auto and prefer the manual, but I still use my auto battery quite often. The main thing with the auto is to take a quick little primer puff to warm up the atomizer (or two or three). Those little puffs are also a great way to get around the cutoff time. I drag until the light goes out, then start dragging again until I'm ready to stop. Then inhale. Then repeat, LOL.

Oh, I forgot to say, be sure to take as soft and as slow a drag as you can. If you drag too hard, you won't get the full flavor or very much vapor or throat hit.

It really does take some getting used to. Vaping is going to taste odd to you for a day or two. And the cartomizers do have a breaking in period. I've noticed that on my manual battery it takes about 3 good drags to really start getting the flavors. On the auto battery it takes me 6 or 7 drags to taste the flavor. Then a few drags after that, and the flavors really start to taste awesome.

Good luck with your new VK. Be sure to post back and let us know how it's going. :)

Pugzley, Moonstruck:

Thanks for the welcomes and great advice. I actually feel pretty confident in my "drawing" and apparently my style is just like yours Moonstruck.

And it's very true how there's a break in and an adapt time. I am now sitting here at work wishing I could go outside and hit my RY4, I'm actually craving it hah!

This is great. Unfortunately my company is extremely anti-smoking (just seeing someone with a cig within a mile of the place will get you in trouble). And they are aware of vaping but it "looks like smoking" so it's still taboo. I still have to go off premises and sneak it. Oh well.

Worth it. Totally.

Will share more thoughts later. Thanks to all of you for all the information I have found here!

Really? You can't just stick it in your sleeve and hold the vapor in? I've done it at work and it's a kiddy type place so it is a DEFINITE no go for anything remotely looking like smoking. Yet no one has ever noticed simply because there's no vapor when u hold it in as long as you can and the things hidden in my sleeve :D

hahaha good idea guys. Only problem for me, well... still "converting" anyway, is I like seeing the vapor [[smoke]]. Part of the transition for me is being able to "smoke" and blowing out that plume is a big part of the satisfaction.

I'm sure I'll be tucked into a bathroom stall sooner or later doing just what you said though LOL ;)

You guys are bringing back some memories... wow. I don't like admitting my age, but I graduated in 76 (you do the math). I remember the sneaking the smoke thing. Although I didn't smoke much in high school really, just sort of puffed on one here and there with friends.

It was later in life they got their hooks in me /sigh

Anyway. I've been using the Cobbler on my pass through (to stay on topic *snicker*) and I'm still on the fence about it. It just sort of has this perfumey taste to it that is not doing it for me yet. But, as it only took half a day for me to go from "yuck" to "yum" with the RY4 I am sure in time I'll start to get a 'taste' for other flavors.

I can see already I need to stay with lower nic levels as the 24 I'm sucking away on is a bit strong on the throat. I have always smoked light cigs anyway so that's probably why.

But, best of all, as of this post I have been analog free for over 24 hours, so I am happily on my way down the right path.

Oh boy! Congratulations on your success thus far! Today makes 2 days completely smokefree, I've been vaping for a month but couldn't quite let them go, but I can't begin to tell you how clean I feel.

We're on our way!

Are you feeling better yet? I noticed immediately that my lungs started to clear. I had a terrible cough and my heart rate dropped about 20 beats per minute within 10 days of having started vaping, even though I was still smoking a few analogs.
