peaches & cream yarn in Protank 2

Was at Wal-Mart and decided to find out what the Peaches and Cream hype was all about. Grabbed a bundle of medium, juiced a portion up, and it fit perfect, or so it seems anyway. Took a few priming puffs for good measure and fired it up. My Meteor tasted muted with a weird taste. Not earthy or burnt like cotton balls can taste. Was wondering if those who use it can fill me in on any advice on this stuff.

Again I did use it on the stock diameter coil and no need fir a flavor wick. Not sure if I need to pull a strand off to thin it or if it takes a few break in puffs.or even if maybe I do need a flavor wick.

You didn't get the red yarn, did you? It tastes a bit funky....

Some boil it a few times to remove any manufacturing residue, but I've never bothered with that. But different wicking material can impart slight variations in flavor. Cotton is not silica

If you're not getting any leaks, then you're OK without the flavor wick. I generally run higher PG flavors, which are thinner, and need the flavor wick. One full strand of P&C works well for that.

No dyes. I don't bother boiling either because I find it kinda reduces a lot of the fluff in the cotton making it more dense, at least when I try it does. I use cotton balls and I love cotton but I thought with the ease of use a strand of yarn can provide, giving its the proper diameter, I would give it a try. I've been at a hit or a miss with the thickness of the cotton balls I have been rolling lately for some reason. I'll put that atty back on since I left it wicked till I heard back from someone and see if maybe it needs some break in puffs.

Thanks. Who knows, maybe it was just my taste buds being funny since I did finish a tank of Tribeca early in the day before I tried this..... but I figured I would ask just to make sure I wasn't missing anything and vaping something nasty.
