Anything goes as long as it's not bashing.

Pros:

1) When I order juice, I love to have control over pg/vg ratio and the nic strength. An added bonus is when any extra cost is listed during the pulldown menu, so I'm not surprised at a price change.
2) Seeing when something is sold out before I waste time clicking on it and then getting notified that it's out of stock.
3) Pictures with a variety of images with regards to personal vaping devices. I like to see how it looks in someone's hand.
4) Good descriptions and all the necessary stats.
5) Menus and pulldown menus. I like all the options available upfront. This is especially applicable to juices, brand name specific items and cartomizers. Another good one I saw was for the various thread options for devices.
6) A well designed colour scheme for the entire site. I like a polished site that looks professional.
7) Mention of updated links, sites and stuff. I like the personal nature to it and the impression that there is constant activity going on from the vendor.

Cons:

1) Not knowing the ratio of a juice or having the option to change it.
2) Clicking through too many options just to find out that it's out of stock.
3) One tiny little picture.
4) Little to no stats or it's in a very obscure part of the page that is hard to find or hard to read.
5) Having to sort through several pages to find one or two items. I dislike having to sort through all of the ego/joyetech only options (that don't apply to me since I don't have them) just to find that one item that I do need. Also, having to click through more options to continue looking through a site is a peeve for me.
6) Several bright, contrasting colours (hurts my eyes) throughout a site that remind me of pop ups and spam ads. Remember the days before we could block pop ups? Ugh.
7) A barebones site that makes a desert with a single tumbleweed look more entertaining. It also looks vacant and has left me wondering how customer service would be if I had placed an order.

Estimate shipping is my friend!

Biggest con for me is coupon codes.
I have placed several orders not knowing there was an active code and then either later that night or next day finding out there was one.

Oh and days after I get something. It goes on sale.

I can't count the number of times that's happened to me.

I hate when there's no description -- I need to be able to have some way to tell if I may or may not enjoy it and if it's called Mystique or some :censored: then I have no idea what to think.
I hate when US vendors won't ship to Canada because of ignorance.
I hate when I have a cart ready, go to check it out later, and an item I wanted is now out of stock.

I'll come back with more :D

Edit: I'm queen of coupons though so I always check for codes or already know them :p

Hey, good thread! Yes ALL of the above. I hate horrible cheap sites with teeny tiny pics and awful navigation and no proper descriptions. I have had to post a link to Health Cabin's battery page, that has clear details of threading, measurements, volts and mAh, and/or cartomizer page (where there is a clear chart with all 510 stuff lined up) at least 20 times! Since people buying from US sites can't figure out WHAT they are trying to buy. US vendors should take a page out of HC's book....

Oh and sites that have black pages with white or neon print.... Like that is something from 15 years ago's dodgy sites, geez! lol...
Another real big peeve is sites that make you sign in, give your name addrss, tel. no etc. before you can see shipping charges or even if they ship to international. Are they collecting data to sell or what?? I couldn't be bothered with that kind of thing, so just close and bye-bye. NEXT.
Vendors, if you are reading this, CLEARLY show your shipping prices and whether you ship abroad or not. Don't waste my precious time.

And finally a certain vendor (but not the only one) who sells very expensive VV APV (that everyone wants to own) has the cheapest, clunkiest and worst site of the lot lol! I want to 'upgrade' and get a mini, but that site just irritates me to death :p.

Peeves:

Vendors that charge HST & don't post their HST number on their website or inside your order details sheet. Makes me wonder if they're collecting for themselves.

The city the vendor ships from. Helps me determine the transit time. Some don't state where their from.

Lack of details or specifications. I like to know voltages & resistance.

Thumbs ups:

to those who suggest the item that your interested in - works best with ............. or requires ...............

to those that offer a small discount if you buy in bulk

to those who include a gift for your purchase (lagniappe)

What I like:

- up front shipping costs without having to put in basket, register on site, etc...
- out of stock notice BEFORE I put in cart
- notify when in stock button option
- search site option (being able to type in the item I'm looking for rather than searching through various categories)
- well organized layout and easy to read font and colors
- easy to locate 'contact us' button
- notification of sales

I hate sites where it says to click on image to see larger photo but it just opens another window of the same sized photo.
I hate sites done in dark colours with dark fonts.
I hate US sites that only ship UPS or FedEx. I've been burned too many times by the brokerage fees to order anything from the US that cannot be shipped via USPS.
I hate Canadian sites that only work in US $.
I hate flavour listings with little or no description.

I love websites with breadcrumb trails to help navigation.
I love a neat fast to load site without a lot of Flash junk. If I want to see a video of something, I will click on it.
I love shopping cart calculators that allow you to get totals without all of my personal info.
I love photos of APVs in a hand to see scale.
I love a site with clear category and sub category headings.

I depend on this site to tell me who is reliable and who isn't but I really think that any/all vendors should be giving us a geographical location and/or an address of where they are/how to get a hold of them. It just (to me anyway) gives them more credibility.

Some sites make me nervous about ordering when the only means to contact them is through a ticketing system.

ecigmods.com fiasco comes to mind.

same as several others. I don't want to have to go through a registration process, period, if I don't want to. I certainly don't want to have to do that just to find out what shipping costs are. I dislike that so much, in fact, that I usually cross those vendors off my list. I don't like the idea that somebody thinks they need to have my personal info to tell me how much their product is.

I have agree wholeheartedly with the majority of the complaints. The problem is, most of these suppliers are US based and don't read the Canada Forum.
To add insult to injury, two more suppliers listed in Deals and Steals required all that nonsense of registering just to find out they don't ship to Canada or their rates are so high no one would even think of ordering from them. Trouble is, there is no way to cancel or remove the information already entered.

Peeves:
Seeing a luscious, succulent, delicious, picture-perfect image of a given juice flavor and having it taste like an old moldy hobo shoe when you try it.

Vendors that after receiving praise for their product at ECF treat you like they're doing you a favor for taking your money.

Vendors over pricing their products, squeezing even more through hidden charges in shipping and still not getting enough staff to deliver within a reasonable period of time.

I'll save my praise for my next post...
