Peg?

So, I came across an article that details voltage and the effect it has on the breakdown of solvents used in e-liquid and the toxcity of the potential carbonyls. It seems that PEG is the safest when it comes to potential carcinogens across higher voltage coils.I have read some places that PEG can sometimes be contaminated with the more dangerous DEG. Does anyone have any information on the study or where you can get good clean PEG based liquid. I am just in the market for the safest liquid I can find. I run my vape at 3.4-3.7v and it works well for me. I take small hits as to not overheat the solvent and release these extra toxins. I am using a 50/50 pg/vg liquid which I picked up at the vape shop when I got my first vape the other night! I am excited about being safer and helping my lungs recover some after years of smoking 1+ packs a day! I want to minimize the risk as much as possible, because I know there are small amounts of risk with inhaling anything into your lungs in intense concentrations.

Any thoughts of where to get a good PEG liquid, or if any other studies have been done to verify this information?

I am not allowed to post links, if there is a way to get around this, let me know and I'll direct you to the paper.

Purity of PG, VG and PEG - The Short Version

"It is better to avoid PEG for DIY purposes if purchased 'ad hoc', i.e. not from a trusted vendor of inhalation products, as it is difficult to source in the correct viscosity (PEG400); but mainly because it is the most likely of all the excipients to be contaminated with DEG, a poison. It should probably not be used by anyone without access to a testing facility for DEG."
