like the title says which pen style with pcc pv's have you used and what works best. looking to replace my blue. ( zips up flame suit and dons nomex boxers) any help would be appreciated primarily concerned with price, size, and ease of refilling.

The penstyle with the 801 atty is becoming a bit of an antique itself. There may be PCC's out there for the 801, but a quick search found none. If there is a particular reason why you want an 801, then the best 'on the go' type setup instead of a PCC would be a Joye Stick that uses the 801 atty, which also has a charger input for charging in the car or with any mini usb plug setup with an adapter for the wall or car lighter.
Highly suggest doing more info gathering on model types, before choosing your next PV.

I'd say look at the eGo or equivalent - Riva batt - both with 510 connections where you can go with the eGo-t and now eGo-c
tanks, eGo sized dual coil cartomizers, regular 510 attys, 510-t, or any regular sized 510 cartomizers.
The regular eGo batt is good for at least 6 hours depending on your use. There are the 900mAh eGo batts that go 9 hours+ getting rid of the need of a PCC....
