Vendor: Mountain Oak Vapors
Liquid: Pendragon 9mg 70/30 PG/VG
Description: Pendragon™ is a complex blend of Cavendish and Burley tobacco's that has been laced with creamy cherry and sweet vanilla. These flavors are part of our natural extraction with this particular blend, rather then something we have added after the fact. The Cavendish in this blend comes across as a nice mild tobacco while the light burley tobacco notes add to this particular blends depth. This tobacco is on the mild side of our extracts yet the complexity will not leave the enthusiast wanting. The cherry and vanilla notes are light, and are most noticeable on the exhale giving this vape a smooth and slightly sweet finish. Pleasant in all the right ways, this vape will have you coming back for more
Thoughts:
Mountain Oak Vapors is on a roll. Starting with the Full Virginia Flake RY4, MOV has released three other new tobacco extracts recently. With the tobaccos rating being 8/10, 9/10, and 9/10, it's time for Pendragon. The great thing about MOV is that they describe each eliquid specifically. There are no mysterious descriptions. Though ever eliquid we buy is a gamble MOV lessens that gamble very much.

As I drip Pendragon, I can clearly taste the Cavendish tobacco, which is a very nice mild tobacco. If you've ever had Cavendish it is a mild but flavorful tobacco usually associated with pipe tobacco. Added with a delicate touch, the burley tobacco is very light but just enough to give some depth to the Cavendish. The cherry and vanilla come out especially on the exhale. This adds a creamy factor that creates perfection with the tobacco. This is obviously not simply extracted tobacco flavoring with other flavors. This is a masterfully crafted artisan tobacco extracted to perfection. This is the crown jewel of the Gold Label line.

The throat hit is very good as well as the vapor production

Final Thoughts:

Though milder than the other MOV Gold Label tobaccos, this one is my favorite. It's complex, light, slightly sweet, and creates a very pleasant vape experience. Complex and enjoyable, Pendragon is one of the best extracts to ever be made. It does not destroy atomizers/cartomizers like many extracts do. I really do hate to put this one down. It's so pleasant yet forceful, mild yet flavorful.

I could never imagine putting a mild extract tobacco in my favorite eliquids ever. Pendragon is just perfect. I'm not thinking of just finishing the bottle, I'll probably order this a few times. As of this moment it is my favorite eliquid. Amazing stuff!! 10/10!!!!!!!!

Great Review!

Thank you for taking the time to share this with us!

I will HAVE TO order a bottle of this next week!

Any other MOV flavors you reccomend to try?

Getting them shipped to Australia so like to try a few things at once to save on shipping etc.

I can easily recommend all of them. My favorites are Pendragon and Sunday Morning. They are on polar opposites when it comes to mild and dark tobaccos but both are amazing!

I haven't much cared for their CCRY4, the 555, or especially the Virginia Flake RY4 (but then they are just starting to steep, so maybe I will in a few weeks time. Also important to note that I have yet to enjoy ANY RY4, so maybe just not my thing).

However, I agree with you, I am totally digging the Sunday Morning, so may have to try the Pendragon as well!

Just a note for clarification.

Steve at MOV just told me that Pendragon is an aromatic, not a hybrid. In other words, the cherry and vanilla are not flavorings added by MOV (hybrid), but instead either flavor elements naturally contained in the soils of the growing region or liquid flavorings sprayed onto the leaves early in the tobacco plants' lives that are then absorbed into the growing plant (aromatic). The phrase "laced with cherry and vanilla" in the description is easy to misinterpret as added flavorings.

I can taste the vanilla in Pendragon, but the cherry is the merest whisper to me, more an ethereal hint than an actual flavor. Though it's good now, i think I'd like Pendragon a little better with just a tad more cherry. Steve said that MOV is increasing the length of the extraction process to a couple months of steeping the maceration, so that may absorb more of the cherry notes from the leaves.

On the other hand, maybe the cherry in my sample bottle will emerge with more than two weeks of steeping. Time will tell.

I ordered a 15ml bottle at 18mg nic and their standard mix along with MOV's Black Forest and Sunday Morning about 4 weeks ago. I tried the Pendragon a couple of days after I received my shipment on an eGo battery and 1.8 ohm vision v3 clearo and at that time this was my least favorite of the MOV juices I ordered. I wasn't getting any of the sweetness from the cherry or vanilla, and overall it seemed a bit dry and too much TH for my taste.

Fast forward to today. I've got it on my new Provari in a carto-tank vaping at about 7-1/2 watts. I'm not sure if it's the hardware or the steeping time, but the Pendragon is now a completely different animal. Beautiful tobacco notes and a creamy sweetness on the exhale. There's still a relatively high TH, but it's mellowed out enough that I can dig it. Overall, an awesome and flavorful juice that doesn't pull any punches. This will easily become one of my go-to vapes.
