Vendor: Mountain Oak Vapors
Liquid: Sunday Morning 9mg 70/30 PG/VG
Description: Sunday Morning is a dark, robust and aromatic pipe tobacco flavor with a very smooth coffee finish. The tobacco flavor is balanced and satisfying, and our famous Coffee & Cream flavor concentrate is added with a delicate hand and perfect restraint. What we are left with is a vape that will easily remind you of a cozy Sunday Morning pipe smoke. The tobacco flavoring is a mixture of two extracts one of which consists of Bright & Red Virginia Ribbon and the other is a mixture of Burley and Black Cavendish. The aroma is a pleasant one that will remind you of a nice cup of joe!
Setup: Dripping on 1.8ohm atomizer with 18350 mod
Thoughts:
Mountain Oak Vapors is a fairly new company to the ecig world about to celebrate their one year anniversary. When they first joined ECF as a vendor there was contest in which I won a bottle. I sent my feedback on it to them and they wound up sending me their entire line of tobaccos. As I enjoy extracted tobaccos much more than artificial tobaccos I wasn't blown away from their original line (though Black Forest is spectacular).
Recently they started extracting tobaccos. I bought and reviewed their first release Full Virginia Flake RY4 with an 8/10 rating. They emailed me after my purchase writing they had more extracts requested my feedback. I was sent three different blends. I was asked to keep a vow of silence. Since today was the first offering of Sunday Morning I was given the go-ahead to spill the beans.
Sunday Morning is by far my favorite of the new extracts. The color is light brown with a very light scent. On inhale the dark burley tobacco is dominant but obviously not the only tobacco present. The cavendish and Virginias combine to create a realistic pipe flavor. Not exactly dark and smokey like an English tobacco but not light either. A strong flavor that is still full-bodied without being overwhelming. On exhale the tobaccos are still very present and a slight coffee flavor rounds out the blend. The coffee is a "delicate touch" that adds depth to the flavor rather than a dominant flavor.
Sunday Morning definitely screams "pipe." There are a few pipe tobacco extracts from other vendors, but for those that have ever smoked a pipe there are infinite tobacco blends available. Most dark tobacco extracts are equally dark in color and will either slowly or instantly kill an atomizer/cartomizer. Sunday Morning has that dark tobacco flavor while being light brown in color. I believe this is because of their filtration process, which has to be extensive since it is extremely clean on my atomizer.
At low power the throat hit is nonexistent. When I dripped into my low resistance atomizer the throat hit was very present. It doesn't hit you from every draw; it seems to build up as you vape. The vapor production is pretty good but not overwhelming which is to be expected with a dominantly PG blend.
Final Thoughts
Some eliquids grow on you after a few times of vaping. Others blow you away from the start. When I first tried Sunday Morning I was hit by a bomb. I love darker/fuller bodied tobacco extracts. I can only vape dark tobaccos occasionally before I have to switch liquids. Those are not all day vapes for me because they are rough on my palate and/or atomizer. Sunday Morning has changed that. While remaining dark and flavorful I could vape this all day. Full and dark with the qualities usually associated with a lighter extract, Sunday Morning is incredible. I originally thought that the addition of the coffee flavor would be unnecessary but actually adds much to the makeup. A full bodied dark tobacco pipe blend with a hint of coffee makes Sunday Morning very enjoyable. Strong, unique, and creative in flavor while remaining very clean on my atomizer inclines me to give Sunday Morning the highest accolades. 10/10
