Do you mean a 18350 or an 18490 battery Chris, unless Provape have been naughty enough to release a
14500 design that I've missed!

You'll certainly get more run time with a AW 18650 2000mAH . . . although I have been known to go
through 2/3 of this size batteries in a day, but I do chain vape when I possibly can.

As for your Penelope, the general consensus of opinion seems to be that the draw is on the airy side, I
guess as Imeo designed it for the Proteus that there are compromises. How have you set it up?

Have you tried setting it up in situ on your Provari and screwing the ceramic housing down only
as far as it just makes contact.

I think you'll find that the Odysseus is less airy . . . .

Can't believe I only get 2 hours out of a 14500 battery at 4.0 volts on 1.6 ohm coil. Wonder how many I'd get off an 18650 with cap?

For the record, with the Provari's boost circuit, low resistance stuff will go through the battery faster than regular or high voltage, because it has a higher amp draw. For instance 1.6ohms @4 volts is 10 watts @2.5 amps. However you can also get 10 watts with 2.5ohms @5 volts, but this way it only draws 2 amps.

All that having been said, I am a 10 watt vaper, and I use 2.5ohm coils at 5v, and my batteries last a whole day. I'm not a chain vaper, but still...

Makes sense. Now have to figure out how to build 2.5 ohm coil with the wire I have. 32 r wire and silver nr.

You should get 36 awg and make life easier, youll have alotta coils trying to get that resistance with 32 awg. Also the penelopy shines with alot of airflow so adjust your center pin as low as u can . I find the sweet spot for the ody/ penelopy is 1.8 ohms at 4 volts with 36 awg, just my opinion tho

Thanks. I actually meant a 14500 batt. High drain. Aw IMr. Is there another that fits Provari that last longer than standard Provari w/out extension cap.

Thanks.

Chris

I've never used a 14500 must confess in the regular size Provari minus the extension cap, so
I've learnt something there . . . AW 18490's I always use. So yes, you would get a better
run time with those.

Do I need an extension cap to run those?
