Pepper Taste

I know that the nicotine can taste like pepper, but what causes that? I have a new bottle that I got and it tastes like that. It is from a local place that makes their own. I was just wondering. I have not had it that long. The other ones i got from there dont have that taste and i got them at the same time.

Is there a difference in nicotine strength?

How competent do you feel they are at making ejuice?

You might try to cut it with some PG, VG, water to see if that helps.

Could be one juice is simply older and has steeped, could be they changed nicotine suppliers, or the reseller that they get it from did.

Another possibility:

Did you intentionally or accidentally change the power settings on your device?

Increased power can definitely intensify the nicotine affect.

Is it a custard? I get that a lot with custard flavors and have to vape it at a lower wattage. Mrs. Lords custard website has info on peppery custard problems.

In my experience it varies with the Nicotine base they use and who they source it from. I bought a flavor, that I have extensive experience with, locally and it had a peppery taste. Bleh I'll make my own juice tyvm.

the peppery taste comes from the nicotine as it oxidizes. - always a good idea to keep nicotine base and juices, in a cool dark DRY area. with all caps on and sealed.
